DONT STAY HERE!! We booked the room to sleep 6. We got 2 Queens and a pullout mattress. The pull out mattress was in bad shape, painful to sleep in and badly stained. It had no sheets. We had to call room service and we were asked to go downstairs and get it. We were literally given the sheets and comforters in the plastic cases and had to make the bed our selves. It wouldn't have been as bad, but for $250 a night considering the area, it was plainly bad service. The room had ZERO towels and had to call room service again. We get towels and one had yellow stains that just seemed to be crusty. The following day we came back to NO towels AGAIN and our beds were not made. They had been in our room because the trash had been taken out. The bathroom door is a sliding door that blocks the fridge every time you open and you risk someone walking in on you. The cracks on the sides of the door make it visible to see someone on the toilet, its a bad design. Hot water is impossible to get. It took forever just to get lukewarm. They also have the thinnest walls in history. You can hear your neighbor talk and sneeze. The guest above us were running in their rooms and hallways until 4am. It was so loud we thought they were right outside our door. The mini fridge had no freezer and the temp was not very cold. This place was too expensive and had horrible service.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Visalia for almost 2 weeks and I think it’s probably one of the best locations for long-term in the area on a medium budget. The rooms were new, spacious, and had a decent amount of amenities. Mini fridge (no freezer), microwave, and a Keurig all are included. A couple of cons: the elevators are kinda sketchy. One broke during my stay and the other one made a ton of weird grinding noises I don’t think an elevator is supposed to make. The other con is with housekeeping, I stayed for 13 nights and didn’t have sheets changed once. My bed was made once in that timeframe too. The staff were really nice, though. Probably a hotel policy if I were to guess. Laundry is a bit on the pricier side at $2.50 per load per machine, quarters only. So if you’re gonna do laundry, I’d advise stopping at a self serve car wash to get some coins. The wifi is also really slow with no upgrade options, which was a bummer but that’s typical for any hotel. Otherwise, the hotel was a great stay for what I needed in Visalia.

what a nice place. People are friendly, the grounds are clean, The pool and hot tub were small but clean. they had a handicap chair which is helpful for people who cant do steps, however the steps were not hard to navigate for mom. The room was large 2 queens and a full size pull out couch, bathroom had a tub shower combo with grab bars. microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Besides the usual continental fare, they had a hot breakfast for those who like a little more in the mornings. scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries and biscuits and gravy. even a push button, pancake maker. the kiddos liked that. the only odd thing was each morning the (hotel breakfast room) coffee was weak, so much so I shelled out the extra cash for the little coffee place next door. all pros only one con, there were no curtains in the room, only a window shade, it was BRIGHT in the mornings and bright enough to not need a light on at night from the parking lot and surrounding city lights, to move about in the room at night

Edit: I'm editing my review from 1 to 2 stars because Hector was able to help me. Even though "JT" said there was no availability, Hector was able to make it work. Hector even apologized for the inconvenience! Maybe I'm old but just hearing "I'm sorry" can make all the difference and is so much better than the attitude that they are doing me a favor or something.

Waited 20 minutes to check for a 3-night stay and nobody was around. After finally checking in with a dismissive and rude employee, we discovered the elevators are both broken. Front desk said they were just fixed, walked away, and then ignored me and the other guests trying to get checked in. After we carried all our baggage upstairs and finally got to the room, we discovered the shower drain is clogged. Front desk lent us a plunger and said they'd fix it the next day. Yes, really. The next day, when we returned to the hotel after our active day, we couldn't get in the room because they locked us out (or, held my belongings hostage, including critical medication). It turns out an employee "JT" changed my reservation, lied to me about it, and blamed it on a "miscommunication" about a requested extension (even though I booked it directly on their website for 3 nights, confirmed 3 nights during check-in, and never requested an extension). Then it was an argument with "JT" to even get 2 room keys even with my wife standing right next to me. So here I am in my room ready to relax and take a shower before trying to figure out where to stay the next night since there's no availability at this hotel. But guess what? They didn't fix the shower drain. Oh and my wife just reminded me only 1 of the outlets works so we can just take turns charging our phones I guess? Maybe room 211 is haunted or something.

This hotel may be terrible, but at least most of their employees are lazy, rude, dishonest, and incompetent. But not Hector. Hector is cool. Be...

From first impressions this hotel is new and looks very modern. The front desk staff was very friendly at first and welcoming. Once I arrive to my room my party realized it was the wrong room. I go downstairs and tell them about my issue. The front desk staff looks confused and finally after a few minutes they figure out they gave me the wrong room. Finally once settled into the correct room I receive a phone call from the front desk telling me my card wasn't going though. Well they had made incorrect charges. They denied they had made any charges when clearly my bank statement showed what charges they were trying to make. They ended up telling me we'd fix the issue later. During checkout same issue with my card came up. They called the manager and he credited back one of the incorrect charges. So my card went through and I left. A couple of days later I realized they didn't credit that amount back. So I had an extra $200 fee. I called the bank and the manager took care of the problem. As of now I have to wait a week to get my money back.

The room was nice and clean no complaints there. The restroom had only 1 toilet paper. The toiletries were half way empty. Overall I had high expectations for this hotel regardless of what I had previously read on Yelp. Those expectations were not meet. I have never had so many issues with a hotel before. It's ridiculous to have to go through so many problems during...

Housekeeping needs to do a thorough job. I had hair from the previous customer on the counters in the bedroom along with dust everywhere. Sponge left on the bathroom floor (at least I know they use them) There was also sticky spots on the floor between my beds. OK I could deal with that, I just made sure I wore socks as I didn't know what it was. The next morning I went to take a shower and absolutely no hot water. I went downstairs and spoke to the gentleman working and he said there was just a large group that left and I should give it another half hour or so. He mentioned that another customer said that she ran the sink hot water and that would work for me too. Doesn't make sense but heck I will try (afterall I had appointments and had to meet with customers a bit later). I grabbed some breakfast to give it a little more time. Well that was not a smart choice. The muffins were so old they crumbed apart, eggs are eggs and the sausage was ok. I went back upstairs and waited for the hot water to heat up (yes I tried the faucet trick too and no luck. I tried a bit later but still no hot water. I had to leave so I never got my shower. I also tried a bagel to go and it was just as bad as the muffin (ok maybe less crumbles) I had to throw it away. I have stayed a lot in hotels for my job and this was one of the most memorable visits just not...
