I'm so tired of pizza hut. This one used to be good, but in the last 5-6 years they are just worthless. It's not just this one either... every pizza hut in this county sucks. I did a short stint as a driver years back and I know the customer service training employees receive and I can tell you its a joke. Not the training, but the culture that is associated with the area pizza hut employees, and how they disregard all of said training. Often times managers go home before the really busy times kick in and the store is left in the hands of young inexperienced shift leads that cant handle the volume of a national chain. (This is speaking from my experience working in a Tulare pizza hut, it may be different now) I check in about once a year to see if they have gotten any better and am consistently disappointed. Final straw; last month we ordered a pizza, not only was it over an hour late, we had to meet the driver by the road, wait for him to move MOTOR OIL containers and car tools off our pizza, and proceed to be an ass. Damn straight I called, was faced with an ass manager, received a call 2 days later from another amazingly apologetic manager who attempted to make it right and assured that driver had been fired for other complaints. Called today to give them another try, find out the credit to my account was not applied after going through 3 different people to find out. Finally got partial credit for my original purchase after explaining the fact that the credit was due to a health code violation. Done with Pizza Hut on Akers till a overhaul is eventually done. After about 40 minutes from when I placed the order, I received a call from this Akers store to tell me that I needed to pay an additional $1.63 because my call was picked up by a service center and they charge an additional “service fee.” When I complained, I was told that the manager said I needed to pay the fee. Ridiculous and unprofessional. Not only did I have to wait 20 rings for a pick-up, I’m then penalized with a service fee when the call transfers to a call center.
