The Dentist I had, Dr. Vinh Bui was great at explaining what he was doing during my root canal, since I was scared. I brought to his attention that I'm allergic to latex, yet he used it. I was too afraid to say anything, but he and the Dental assistant acknowledged it. The assistant change her gloves and gave him some to change out, which he did the first time while administering the anesthetic. Once he came back, the dental assistant was the only one who had non-latex gloves, but not the Doctor. I have hives on my chin and my mouth is inflamed. Also, when I had my exam on the 11th I was told I would be able to get a doctor's excuse for a few days for my procedure. This particular doctor, Dr. Mirosl Stanic, told me, "Since your job requires you to primarily speak, you're not going to want to talk for a few days to make sure you recover in good time. You'll most likely be given 2-3 days off for recovery." Then when mentioned to the dentist, Dr. Bui, who performed my root canal he said, "Oh okay, well everyone is different. You're going to be in pain for a few days which is normal. We can get you an excuse when we finish here. Do you work today? The numbing won't go away for a few hours." Then at the end of my procedure they only gave me an excuse for today only and refused to give me more although they claimed I would be in pain, which I am. I paid for a crown to be done, but I don't think I'll ever come back after that gets done. I'm not the type to look for an excuse for days off, but my literal job is customer service on the phone. It is painful to speak, and I have nothing that proves by the dentist that I'll be in pain for a few days. I forgot to mention that they gave me no take home stuff for recovery. I had to Google what I needed to do while I recover. Like, what to eat, how to take care of my teeth for the time being and if I can brush them. Like I've mentioned above, I am afraid of the dentist and I said that verbally. It was as if they felt like once my procedure was done, I was supposed to be comfortable all of a sudden? I am not. Yet, I had no after care instructions or anything else that might help a terrified patient....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday I experienced such unprofessionalism. Iāve been a patient here for at least the last 20 years, but today was my last visit. I had an appointment at 12pm as I had been having jaw pain, when I called to make the appointment I specifically asked if this was something they could check out here or if I should go to my primary. They said doctor could definitely check it out. Today I signed in for my appointment, I was the only one waiting, I went to have a seat as I was told, and I over hear the receptionist along with another female who I could not see, asking what I was there for, the receptionist responded that I was there for jaw pain, and the other female responds in Spanish, āand what does she want us to do about it, Iāll give her a hard blow (fregadazo). Pretty much sheās going to punch me in the face. Thatās what it translates to in English. I couldnāt believe what I was overhearing, they then started whispering and the female talking in Spanish continued to ask about if I had X-rays done. Iām still sitting down trying to figure out what just happened, the receptionist calls me up and starts asking me how my jaw hurts, at this point Iām so upset, I let her know I overheard the conversation they had about me, she stupidly responds oh about your xray, I said no, about my jaw, i heard what you guys were talking about, she then responds āoh no we were talking about something elseā i said no, i heard you say my name. I heard the whole thing, and Iām leaving. I walked out of there in disbelief. Unprofessional on both of their parts. I missed a day of work and was disrespected. Never coming back, and I recommend you all take your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreScheduled an appt because a small filling fell from a tooth. I showed up to my appt and was told oh let's first do a cleaning. I was confused because I had clearly told them I was there for an issue with my tooth but said ok let's get the cleaning done. After being there for more than 2 hours I finaly saw the dentist only for him to say yes you need a filling replaced we will see you next time. I was upset because I was not a new patient and had taken the morning off from work only for a cleaning. Staff noticed I was upset and Dr. Stanic came in to try and help. He tried to help and asked if I could come back later. I told him just like his time my time was also valuable and I had scheduled for them to fix the filling but I would find someone who could fix it. He then took me to a different room and said he would quickly do the filling, since he knew he was loosing a client. His assistant was upset because the table was set up for a different patient and to my surprise the filling was not matched to my tooth color. I heard this once I was in the dentist chair wothout being able to walk away. Basically Dr. Stanic tried to fix a mistake that his staff( other dentist, and front office) had made by not including me in the schedule and then gave me a filling that I now have to replace because it is darker than my teeth. All they are interested in is getting you to sign up for care credit, push you on braces and implants - without providing other options- and want you to decide and commit to a treatment plan while your there. Another money...
