We stayed at the Hansen Inn and Cabins with our dog. It was very clean and within a block of the famous Wall Drug. Would definitely reccomend staying here if your traveling to the Badlands with your pup. #roadtrip #badlandsnationalpark #southdakota #dogfriendly #dogfriendlytravel #roadtrippin #dog

It's not the Hilton. But that's what makes it great. This piece if Americana is stuck somewhere between 1967 and 1974, and it's a blissful take on what the roadside motels of yesteryear were all about. The rooms are small, but adequate. Providing mini fridge, microwaves and coffee pots is a refreshing discovery considering that Hilton and Marriott still offer rooms in brand new establishments with no such amenities. The punter can walk out their door and throw a rock and hit the world famous Wall Drug stores across the street. This provides ample entertainment and food for a solid overnight stay. And at 7pm, the entire town rolls up the sidewalks and gets so quiet, you can hear your heart beating. Hotels generally don't provide many surprises, especially in their simplicity, but Ann's was impressively lovingly maintained by generational innkeepers who carry on the spirit of their parents, and the attention is reflected in the cleanliness of the establishment. You can stay at another chain motel down the street for twice the price, or you can come experience what traveling to the Black Hills was like in the golden age of road travel... It's not the Hilton indeed... but that's what makes it amazing. I'll be back for sure.

Had a snafu at our prior reservation in Wall so we found Hansen Cabins & to our delight it totally surprised us ! My husband hates motels where you enter your room outside vs indoors at hotels. The room size is typical motel, but the best I have ever experienced. nice bedding & towels, updated with nice lighting, overhead fan, large TV,2 luggage valets & table & 2 chairs. Microwave & small fridge. Top on my list is it is supwr clean & cute, they explain everything you need to know on cards in room to operate TV etc. They have nice outdoor patio at end of the building & a Connestoga Wagon I think they will be renting out. Wall Drug store right up street & restaurants. Highly recommend !

Booked Hansen Cabins based upon Google reviews. Hard to book your trips overnight accommodations to an area that you've never been to. I believe the only rooms that were still available for our dates were on the second floor. They don't have an elevator so I decided upon cabin #15. I like their strict policy of having animals in certain cabins as well as no smoking. Nothing is worse than going into a room that smells like smoke when you have asthma.

Room was very clean. Decent space. Had nice amenities. Fridge, microwave , couple bottles of water which is always a nice touch. Mattress and pillows good. Plenty of hot water. Good pressure

Location is so convenient to uptown Wall area with the famous Wall Drug and shopping and other dining establishments.

Stay- has anyone ever watched My Cousin Vinny? We stayed two nights. Starting at 1am, the train went through. I should state that the track tracks are tucked behind those massive silos you see in the photos. You not only hear it but you feel it as well. Luckily I slept through the first night as I was exhausted. Husband experienced it for both nights. I actually didn't believe him at first but experienced it fully the second night. I mean the train runs through the town. Nothing you can avoid. I just need to mention that the conductor was really enthusiastic by blowing those whistles multiple times.

They don't offer a breakfast rather snack items. Few pieces of whole fruit. Breakfast bars and tiny muffins. Coffee was very good. You are best to walk to Wall Drug for a hot breakfast if you desire.

Staff very nice. Always smiling and willing to help/answer questions.

Thank you Hansen...

The rooms in this motel have been redone, and they look quite nice. Things were clean and the place as a whole is charming. I appreciated the provided toiletries and water bottles. It was also incredibly affordable; I booked the day of on a Thursday, and it came out to just under 120 with fees. You can tell that the owners care about the property and their guests, given a number of little touches. ||If you come in late, know that most food options will be closed by your arrival. Having an estimated arrival time after 9PM also means that the lobby is closed when you arrive, but I received a text with all of the information I needed and they checked me in remotely. It was very nice. After a long day, I was glad to be checked in and ready to walk in. ||My one gripe is that the walls are fairly thin. We were woken up at about 5-5:30 in the morning to lots of loud banging and children screaming above us. We also happened to be in a room close to a staircase, which produced even more noise. I realize that noise isn’t directly the motel’s fault per se, but it was a very frustrating morning after driving for 12 hours and only sleeping for 5. Hope that your neighbors are considerate. If that’s worth the gamble for you, this is a great place to stay for a night. Maybe stay on the top floor, if...

They've done a really good job fitting a variety of rooms at this location. We stayed in a family cabin (#19) which had a king bedroom with a queen bed in the living area and a twin sized pullout couch. We managed to fit our family of 5 (3 teenage kids) and all our road trip stuff in, but it was tight. There are AC units in the living area and the bedroom- like a hotel- they noisily go on and off all night, but keep the place cool. The kitchen is small with a medium sized fridge, limited cooking supplies and utensils, and a very tiny amount of counter space, so don't expect to easily prepare meals, but it was enough for us to make breakfast and pack lunches. There is also an outside seating area, picnic bench, and a lounge area for all the guests so you can spread out there. Our cabin faced the parking lot, so we had to keep the shades down. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. The location is great for anyone visiting the Badlands- just a 10 min drive to the Pinnacles entrance- and a short walk from Wall Drug. So, if you need a place to stay in Wall, SD this is a great option. Please note: this cabin is pet friendly and we all felt like there were some lingering odors in the living room and allergens so be...
