We give this experience a 2.5. We were there for 10:30am breakfast Sunday morning. Although I had reserved a table and noted it was a celebration in the comment section, when we got there we had no reserved table. We sat in the remaining table on the sidewalk at the very end. There was zero ambience other than the roar of Sunset Blvd in our ears. Because we were going to be indoors at the Pantages after breakfast, we decided to stay outside to eat anyhow. We ordered a Mimosa and champagne which took forever to get served, we had to ask twice, in fact it came after our very late arrival but quite delicious dolce the leche beignet. We finally got silverware service and then we got our drinks, so then we could finally taste the fabulous beignet. We ordered the chanterelle mushroom omelette with the frisée and the blueberry pancakes to split both between the two of us. Honestly I have had an equivalent omelette on an airplane. There was supposed to be cheese in there it was barely existent, it was basically folded egg. There were seven teeny tiny tips of chanterelle mushrooms and one chopped up asparagus tip on top of the omelette. They also put a handful of overdressed spring mix on the side. That poor excuse for an omelette was $31. We also split the blueberry pancakes. I thought upon first bite, they were fine but once they sat for a minute they got heavy and pasty There were some blueberries in the batter and eight blueberries on top of the four pancakes. I’ve had better pancakes at IHOP. We were starving and ended up eating most everything. The side of bacon was perfection. The food wasn’t horrible or inedible, it was just way far below my expectations for the reviews and the price. The service was very scrambled and felt like we were forgotten many times. The total bill was $155 and I felt like it should’ve been $90, that high only because we had breakfast cocktails. The lattes were good and the beignet was good and the bacon was good. Don’t bother eating a full meal for breakfast. Maybe stick to the...
Read moreReally disappointed at the continued let down at Ospero and frankly all of the dining establishments at Pendry. We have spent a LOT of time here over the last year and a half and overall can confirm the following: Ospero service is slow at best; food is okay order a cappuccino and you will get a latte (have had this happen at least a dozen times, after being very specific) further to the last point, we have just had to order a cappuccino three times because they kept bringing lattes… still didn’t get it right, and when you give feedback, they fight you on it rooftop pool menu is not conducive to hanging out all day - very strange and limited selections for a pool menu EVERYTHING is DRENCHED in sauces. I don’t know how anyone in the kitchen has tastebuds. If you like drinking Thai chili sauce, you can enjoy that on most dishes. I’m taking sauce soup. if you’re looking to eat relatively healthy, you won’t accomplish that at any of the establishments on the property. Every dish is overload and overkill. Even the salads are drenched in sauces and cheese. No I don’t want a breakfast pizza. You can’t even get a simple egg breakfast - your options are egg white QUESADILLA or a Raclette omelette. Why is there not a simple healthy breakfast option? This is LA after all. don’t expect any modifications to be followed. Seriously - zero. staff at Ospero is apathetic and turnover is high - we rarely see the same people and we have been coming here for a year and a half, which is a bad sign. It’s clear that there is a lack of involvement of any type of feedback here despite it being marketed as a high class luxury destination on sunset. Really disappointing...
Read moreTerrible service. We sat there for three hours for dinner. Our waiter came to the table 3 times, always with delay. The service team was incredibly rude telling us they were busy serving the customers upstairs. Essentially telling us their other clients took priority over our service. We waited over an hour from ordering to get our food and the restaurant was not busy. They did not accommodate our checks in any way. Added gratuity even though their service was not worthy of a tip. And brought a round of shots which was elaborated with “we’ll take care of you”. We don’t want your expensed liquor, we want quality service without attitude and delay. We checked on the food and the girl at the hostess stand simply says “ok.” In response. Wow just wow. Will never recommend, no accountability for their poor service and terrible approach. Incredibly dissatisfied to have spent my...
