My wife and spent 4 nights at the Garden Wall Inn in late June. The owners (Chris and Rhonda) looked after our every need from the moment we arrived right up until departure day. They ensured we had maps and information for our days within GNP, provided an amazing picnic "to go" breakfast to take on the mornings we left before sunrise to get into the park, and offered beverages when spending time at the inn. The food was great - Rhonda is a wonderful chef! Your stomach certainly won't be disappointed. Chris was a wealth of information for the area and proved to be a warm and attentive host.||While the rooms are tad bit small, the food and care taken by the owners more than made up for it. My wife especially loved the "civilized wake up" each morning when Chris would deliver coffee to the room 30 minutes before breakfast. ||The inn is located close to downtown with a brief walk to get there yet far enough that our evenings and mornings at the inn were quiet. The drive to GNP is only about 35-40 minutes as well.||Anyone complaining about this inn clearly needs to have their mental state examined. The care and effort put forth by the incredibly sweet owners makes this place an absolute gem!||If we return to Whitefish in the future, we will not hesitate to stay with Rhonda and Chris again. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and think you will too! Book it - you...
Read moreI highly recommend this Inn. Awarding five stars is rare for me, even more-so for hotels; however, The Garden Wall Inn earns all of them.
The service is impeccable; the place is warm and cozy; the breakfast is wonderful (as in damn-good-chef wonderful) with fresh juices and breads, wonderful egg dishes, catering to our dietary needs. We left breakfast each morning not sluggish, but energized. And the afternoon hors d'oeuvres were just right.
The claw-foot bathtubs are a wonderful touch, and the wrap around curtains and rain-shower heads with great water pressure make for a great end to a day.
It was my first time booking my family in Whitefish, and I took a chance on The Garden Wall Inn, rather than a larger hotel. I am so glad I did. The place was just right, enough family time in the living room by the fire, and plenty of wonderful short walks to and from town.
Chris and Rhonda are damn good innkeepers. They called in dinner reservations for us, gave us passes to the gym, accommodated us for breakfast, and even left out for us a continental buffet for our very early flight.
I could say more, but, to the point, it's hard to imaging going wrong with this place....
Read moreThree are at least three things that attract visitors to Whitefish, Montana.
The great outdoors to include hiking, skiing, bike cruising, trail walking, and the "Crown of the Continent", Glacier National Park. Fantastic weather (especially for those of us who live in sweltering summer climates like the southeast and southwest). Fun shopping and and great local fare like Tupelo Grill, Abruzzo Italian Kitchen, and Latitude 48 Bistro.
For those of you who are looking for lodging, AND are a fan of Bed & Breakfast experiences, go no further than booking a room at Graden Wall Inn.
Owners Rhonda Fitzgerald and Chris Schustrom are two of the best innkeepers in the tri-state area. They have been serving discerning travellers like you and me since 1987. Their attention to detail and service is top-of-mind and their unique breakfast offerings are some, if not the best, in Whitefish.
Location, location, location...Just a block west of downtown Whitefish to include a plethora of dining and shopping options.
Do yourself a favor. Research their reviews and decide for your self it it's not a great fit for your first or next visit...
