I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! We decided to try it out this evening because we were traveling in the area and it had pretty good reviews. I don’t know if this was the owner’s intent but it gave Taylor Swift folklore vibes (the name, they were playing her music, the vibes of the shop, the cute cabin like counter, the lovely little plants). It was very cozy and I could spend all day in there studying (if I lived in the area). On top of a cozy atmosphere, the drinks are delicious! I got a hot rose hibiscus matcha and it was perfect. The matcha was a perfect balance of the umami flavor that shines through and wasn’t too sweet or too bitter. The floral notes of rose and hibiscus worked in a perfect medley with the umami flavor shining through with a little bit of sweetness. The barista working deserves a raise, she was very sweet and handled a man who came in looking for ice who was rambling on and on with a lot of nonsense that was hard to understand with respect and kindness as well as made some delicious drinks in a quick fashion. I’d recommend this to anyone traveling in the area (or anyone that lives here). I would die to have this exact coffee...
Read moreFolklore Coffee, in my opinion, is by far the best place to get coffee in Whitefish! The Owner, Matt, is a really nice guy, and is genuinely passionate about serving up a phenomenal cup of coffee (or tea) to each and every one of his customers. Folklore not only pays very close attention to detail with each delicious hand-crafted drink they make, but they also take the time to truly get to know their customers, and pay attention to details about them other than just what they order. For those of you that like Chai, this is a must try! Matt tested multiple Chai's in search of a perfect fit for his Espresso, to make the ultimate Dirty Chai. I personally think he hit the nail on the head. It is by far the best Dirty Chai I have ever had, and friends that I have taken there agree. Quite often when I go to other coffee shops around the valley, I get inconsistent results. One time it's good, and the next time it tastes burnt. I have yet to have a bad Cup O' Joe here. Folklore has a very down to earth, relaxed vibe, and I will definitely be continuing to recommend...
Read moreWent to visit the shop with some friends after it was apparently remodeled recently. They mentioned that the layout was a lot more comfortable, but the music was still a little bit soft. We stayed and talked for a while but it still seemed a little too quiet in there to have much of a conversation if you didn't want other people to be listening in all the time. As for the coffee, everything we got was fantastic! Our lattes, cappuccinos, and drip coffee were all very tasty. I forget the barista's name but he was very friendly and extremely good at his job, quality latte art included. The only thing that was worth noting for me was that I wish that the drip coffee was a little bit hotter, but because it wasn't so hot I was able to taste a lot more of those subtle fruity notes which I also appreciated. Cheers for the...
