One of four locations in MT, I think? Locally made ice cream with a series of classic flavors as well as a series of rotating seasonal flavors. On the seasonal side, you can sometimes find less common ingredients like lavender or cardamom rolled into a delicious new blend. During the Christmas season, you might even find a flavor made using cream that's been infused with fresh Montana pine needles. There is typically at least one sorbet option, as well. However, my kids will always adore the classic, ultra chocolatey Chocolate Love or fresh Grasshopper Mint, and my undying favorite is Salty Caramel in a waffle cone. For sale, they also have pints stacked in a small freezer, a few jars of the gourmet toppings they use, and a ranging assortment of cute merchandise, some branded, some not. (I've looked into shipping during the holidays, but was unsurprised to find shipping ice cream an expensive option - available, though!) This place is an adorably branded little shop with a clean industrial vibe (in both Kalispell & Whitefish), and with the exception of getting an unsupervised trainee during a rush once, the always amiable employees have provided a generous scoop that makes it...
Read moreBEST ice cream shop on the planet. Home made waffle cones are delicious. Flavors are to die for. Really friendly service. Very happy that they will refuse you service if you don’t wear a mask. Knowing this makes this one of the businesses that I will continue to be a patron of for a long time.
One complaint: London Fog and Smores flavored ice cream are not available in the winter???
First of all, why have seasonal menus at an ice cream shop? Doesn’t make sense. Second, why exclude those flavors in the winter??? I understand that smores are enjoyed while camping and you don’t really do that in the winter but both of those flavors are arguably better winter flavors than summer.
The huckleberry ice cream that has the cookie pieces in it is a good substitute for the london fog but make sure you ask for it specifically because they have two different huckleberry flavors in the winter. Very confusing btw! I almost ordered the wrong one last time, perhaps change the name of one of them ti...
Read moreFantastic experience. I went on a Monday evening around dinner time, surprised to find no line. Staff was inviting and accommodating. The flavors we sampled were all soothing and lovely. There is a nice sitting area that would appear to be a bit of a sun bake at the wrong time of day. But there’s a nice set of benches on the front face of the store that seems shady enough when the main outside seating is overwhelmed with sun.
The cones all seem to be of high quality, as one can easily smell from the curb. The shake I had was a little on the thin side, but seemed more like a stylistic choice than an accident - which was totally fine with me, but may not be everyone’s preference. The scoops in a cup are, of course, a safe option for anyone. And in this case, they let us mix/match flavors even on an order of one scoop.
Overall, a...
