Racist workers! Went in today with the intention of buying some hats with my family. We were standing around trying them on and Sharon walked past 3 of us white people and walked straight to my brown MIL asking her if she was waiting for someone. I said “we’re together” and she said “ohhhh okayyyy” With a very sarcastic and condescending tone. I told the lady at the counter who said “maybe she was trying to see if she needed help”. If that was the case she would’ve asked “do you need help” AND she would’ve ask the rest of us as well. This is what day to day racism looks like! We both had masks on, but I wear mine below my nose because of my asthma and chronic very painful sinus infections, which are a bigger concern to me than this virus. Some old lady (possibly owner) walked up and stated "I need to ask you to pull your mask all the way up. " when I started that I can't breath with it covering my nose, her response was, "no, then I need to ask you to leave. " so we did and went down to Togglery where I found wonderful service and compassionate and understanding staff to help me, and I bought a pair of gloves there...
   Read moreThis was my 1st pick for shopping on our vacation. No greeting or acknowledgement that our party walked into the store. We did have a special employee walk out to condemn all of us for our face coverings (you didn't have one on, btw) then laughed when we walked out. Could use a visit to the south for a dose of good ol hospitality. Maybe they don't really need repeat business or kind reviews 🤷‍♀️ You really need to appreciate the guests that can buy the same items you carry cheaper online but wanted to patronize local shops....
