Amazing Crepes — Restaurant in Whitefish

Update: owner called me and was very helpful and asked about the experience and said she would be rectifying it with staff. I really do love it there! I usually love it here. It’s one of my favorite places but the last few times I have gone it just has not been what it used to be. Young teenagers are in there working on their own, no supervisor or actual adult around so they stand around and chat with each other instead of doing work. The last 2 times I’ve gotten my food cold. I’m pretty sad because my favorite crepe has Brie cheese in it. I don’t think anyone taught them that good cheese comes in wax. There were large wedges and chunks of wax in my crepe. They did not remove the wax before cooking it. I had to completely deconstruct my crepe to extract it and I don’t think any of them understood what I was trying to explain to them that cheese comes in wax so I can guarantee the crepes all day with cheese had wax in them. In the past I have given a 5 star because I used to love it. Now I’m just disappointed. Still tasted good aside from picking wax out of my teeth and chatty...

Iam veg and they served turkey!!

Food might taste good, but beware of what you order here! I’m vegan and my husband eats meat. I specifically ordered the root vegetable crepe (vegan), and he ordered the turkey crepe. The restaurant completely messed up and labeled the boxes incorrectly. I took a bite, only to realize I was eating turkey when I had ordered vegetables. Absolutely unacceptable and careless!

For a vegan, this isn’t just a “mistake”—it’s a huge violation of trust. If I hadn’t noticed right after the first bite, I would have ended up eating an entire meat crepe. The kitchen and staff need to take food orders and labeling seriously. Dietary choices and restrictions matter, and this kind of negligence can ruin someone’s experience—or worse, put someone’s health at risk.

I keep a list in my head of “Best Ever” as far as food goes, and Amazing Crepes holds the title of best crepe ever for me. Since the first time I went to Amazing Crepes in 2019, I’ve been thoroughly impressed by the quality of both the food and the service. The crepes are fresh, fluffy, and either perfectly savory or sweet depending on your liking. There is also a good assortment of coffee and tea that makes any breakfast or lunch a complete package. My only complaint is that they’re not open for dinner. In a town like Whitefish that is becoming grotesquely more exclusive to the wealthy, it’s both heartwarming and refreshing that a place like Amazing Crepes exists with high quality and affordable fare for all encapsulated in a charming coffeehouse style atmosphere right downtown.
