We have come here for years and normally come for in special occasions. We decided to come out with our four kiddos to celebrate an early Valentine's meal. We gentleman server who was kind, but was absent a lot during our time there. We never received the hand towels or the side cucumber salads. I think I asked about three different times and he never brought them so I resorted to asking one of the bussers for help getting them. The food was ok. Kids had the captains fish sticks, I ordered the hanabi stir fry add chicken (it was pretty bland), but the actual sushi (ultimate temptress/dragon/dynamite was good! )Our meals arrived and we waited for him to finally bring over the salad with the wasabi and ginger so we could make our "dip" for the sushi. My husband had beer and would have had more but never got asked if he would like another one. Ordered the chocolate fondue which is our favorite. Came out with small portions of fruit and some coconut flakes/heath bar. I asked our server about the pound cake that it normally comes with and he said that they didn't have any that night. That didn't sound right to me so I called over the hostess and I asked her if she knew why it didn't come with it and she said that it does. The server came back out with a plate of it to add. The whole vibe was weird. I think he might have been a new server so I was trying to give him some grace as we grew up in the industry. He just gave many excuses as to why we didn't get the hand towels (asked at 7 and he said that they just opened and weren't ready....they opened at 5), why we hadn't received the salads, and why we didn't get the pound cake. It was odd. We don't get to go out very often to treat ourselves for a nice dinner and we were really hoping that it was going to be a good experience of unfortunately it was a bit...
Read moreWow what can u say.. booked a week in advance to show my gal this spot on our one year anniversary. She kinda loves sushi more more and these were my first sushi rolls ever growing up in this small town. I was really excited...
Let's start with the rolls... we showed up the second they opened at 5pm took us 35 mins to get three rolls... new Yorker omg its spicey and goonie. The new yorker , isnt the same amazing roll you used to get for 9 dollars it used to be a amazing blend of creamcheese capers and smoked salmon today it was a 17 dollar mess. Still the best roll i had Next was the goonie (there staple roll) well they lied they dont make plum ketchup anymore it was store bought sweet chili and i asked the chef after the meal how could he something cut so poor he offered me a shot of his private gallon of sake and asked me if i wanted it remade.after i paid and was well ready to leave
Last my favorite roll and the reason I go to wasabi. The OMG ITS SPICEY it sooo was sloppy... total miss not worth 15 let alone 25 its boiled scallops with cream cheese and Sriracha and I love that part but instead they gave me and my girl on our anversery heavy dose of thai chilles cut up in there. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for flavor like golf course or beldi.
Lastly our server was trying but she basically made sure we had our drinks and food. And give no customer service.
For these reasons I suggest a trip.to bigfork for.the day with sushi and go...
Read moreThis review is not based on one experience but several over a 12 month period. My family and I had dined at this establishment over time. In this year, we had two "Take Out" meals and two dine in. The quality of the food has deteriorated over the past couple years while prices like other places have gone up. My family like the Steak and I the Seafood Soba noodles. Both times the steak was charred and it was well done (inside) when we asked for medium rare. The Seafood Soba noodles entree was so salty that tasted like a whole bottle of soy sauce was dumped in there. Since both times were "Takeout" orders and so there was no recourse to change. So, just last week we gave it another try. I had the Seafood Noodle and I asked the waitress to tell the chef to make it much less salty, as I have had terrible experiences before. My wife had the Salmon. Well, my entree was terribly salty even after I have made my request. My wife's salmon was over cooked and dry. Since I had another engagement after dinner, I hardly ate my entree and left. My wife had more time and she complained via the waitress and so they cooked her another salmon...marginally improved. By the way, the Steak, Salmon,on and the Seafood Noodles are the more expensive items. I would say: Wasabi has gone down hill. Dine at...
