We stayed in a double suite. This meant we had a separate room for the beds and a kitchenette. The fridge was full size, and it had everything we really needed. I have celiac and had to have a place to fix my own food as opposed to eating out. It had plenty of space to spread out for our family of 5. We could get up and go to the other room without worry about waking others up. The ac is also in the bedroom which was also great. We had a decent view and could atleast see the ocean. Now the cons; *The room was not as clean as it should have been. Hair and dust everywhere was so bad my brother in-law walked in and had an immediate sneeze attack. We had 2 rooms and both my sister inlaw and myself had to clean the rooms to feel comfortable. The sheets were clean, but the dust and hair were aweful. Also we found spots of blood on our bathroom wall and light switch. Thankfully my sister inlaw is a germaphobe and she had disinfectant wipes in her car. So after a really good wipe down we were set for our stay. If it had had a cancelation refund i probably would have taken that route, however im glad we didnt it was worth just wiping it down myself to take the guesswork out rather than find a new place to stay at such a good price and location. *Loved that the beach was close, but the pics made it look like it was right ON the beach and it was accross a park and street (which wasnt a deal breaker). *no breakfast! I was hoping for atleast a continental breakfast. Over all once we cleaned the rooms the stay was nice. I did here others say their rooms were nice and clean, so we might have had a lazy housekeeper on our floor. I used to clean hotel rooms back in the day, and dust and hair is...
Read moreI highly recommend this understated ocean view motel! Family friendly, clean with a No smoking of any kind policy. We walked in to an unmade room around 1700 on the day of the check in, somehow they happened to miss cleaning ours. the manager was very apologetic and asked us what can he do to make things right; we weren’t upset or anything because all we did was relaxing and hang out by the pool to wait until our room is ready. He offered free breakfast and dinner but we politely declined, I did joke maybe give us a discount rate for Saturday. Little did we know the next day they found us and said they’ll give us a complimentary night because they feel so bad that we had to wait an extra 30 minutes for them to clean our room. What a great manager that is! Mr John is definitely a very valuable asset to this place. Ms Judy at the front desk was also so so sweet and very apologetic. Shes a real gem! This mom and pop motel really care about their customers and we ARE a customer for life. Thank you for making our first stay in Wildwood...
Read moreWe stayed for a few nights at the end of the summer during the week. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean. It is right by the beach and a park with a playground and splash pad. It is far enough from the boardwalk to feel quiet and relaxing, but close enough that the piers are accessible. There is also a bike rental place on the edge of the park, which makes a boardwalk bike ride in the a.m a breeze. We rented a surrey and rode the whole boardwalk. The staff was great and there is even a cute little lending library by the pool. The pool is only semi-heated, but it was enough for the kids (9 years old) to jump in on a chilly day. (I couldn't do it.) They also have grills to cook up food by the pool, although we went out to dinner each night. There is also a cute lending library off the pool area if you forgot a book and want to borrow theirs! I had forgotten games to bring and asked if we could purchase a deck and they were kind enough to lend us a pack to play with...
