Ok now let me say this. I bought a Groupon and I was heading to the boat from DE (1hr and 50 minute ride). We left in plenty of time but caught accidents and a mess of traffic. I called to tell the captain we were still in route and only 15 min away. The boat leaves at 8am. Now we would of arrived at 7:55am in spite of it all. So we could of made the boat. When we called I ask would they allow us to still board If we made it. I had already checked in the day before. They said no. I said ok, and even though I was frustrated I asked can he reschedule us than for the 1pm charter? He said because it was a Groupon there was nothing they could do. Now I understand about being late and the situation with the Groupon but I could of made it. We lost our money. What really frustrated me was I saw another charter 2 min down the road and it was 7:53am. They let us on board and waited for us to load our cooler.( The Royal Flush) Their were 12 people on my boat. When I got on the water we saw this boat and only 13 people were on it and they were right directly in front of us! We pulled off our boat at 8:05am. They could of waited! They did not pull off at 8am! They were more concerned with the bottom line for a Groupon instead of telling us yes try to hurry and make it. Trust me they were blount and cold. I had to pay for the charter on the Royal Flush but I am glad I went on that boat.I had an amazing day in spite of it all. Fishing should be enjoyable and the people who charter should sound concerned if when there is a situation. Sorry, I will tell everyone to go on the "ROYAL FLUSH!" So much for my future business and all my...
Read moreWe had a terrible time with the office/admin staff. We made our reservations well in advance. A week before our trip we received a call that we had been rescheduled because the boat had been chartered for fishing and that they'd make more money. (Way to make the customer feel valued) I asked if this was common practice or a one of, because we had other reservations for our trip and I had to shuffle things around to make things work. Barbara proceeded to expand on how they had to do what netted them the most profit, which I reiterated I understood, and restated the question she hadn't answered and was hung up on. I called the other office and spoke with Tracy, who assured me this wouldn't happen again.
The morning before our trip we received a call that we had been rescheduled to the Cape May pier because our trip was not profitable enough for them. The Wildwood dock is 5 minutes from where we were staying, which is why we booked there as we're not familiar with the area, and know nothing at all about Cape May. I called back and expressed my frustration and was talked over and grew more frustrated.
Day of the trip, we set out on the unfamiliar toll road (they did reimburse the toll), and got lost in town trying to find their dock, the entrance to which was tucked back behind the opposite side of the bridge.
The cruise itself, however, was night and day from the experience with the office/admin staff. The crew was professional, the two naturalists were very knowledgeable and attentive and very willing to answer questions. The crew was very respectful of the marine animals we encountered. The touch tank was a...
Read moreI was supposed to take my son on the pirate cruise but unfortunately for reasons beyond my control we were unable to attend. My son has type 1 diabetes and he was very ill the morning of the cruise so I had to make the decision to keep him home for safety reasons. I called to cancel my reservation and the woman who answered the phone said nothing other than she was cancelling my reservation and that she hoped my son felt better. I returned from vacation to see I was charged $90. I called because I thought it was just a mistake and was told by not one but two very rude disrespectful people that it's their policy & there is nothing they can do about it so I am now out $90 and I got NOTHING for it. I explained that my son has a very unpredictable disease & that this could not be controlled or prevented and the man on the phone literally laughed at me. I am in complete shock that we were treated this way and I will tell everyone I know not to give a single penny of their hard owned money to this business. It is a complete disgrace to treat customers this way. This is supposed to be a fun experience for children but the way they behaved when I explained my sons situation I'm actually glad he didn't step foot on that boat. You should be ashamed of yourselves. It's bad enough my 6 year old son has to endure this disease every single day of his life & miss out on things but for a grown adult running a business geared towards children to be so heartless truly makes me sick. I don't even care about the $90, it's the principal that they took advantage & benefited from my sons illness that is...
