Gold Crest Motel — Hotel in Wildwood Crest

My wife and I are seasoned Wildwood visitors for over 25 years. We have stayed in many different motels and condos all those times and I feel we are well qualified to give an honest review, good or bad. We decided on the Gold Crest based on a recommendation from a friend and we booked a room for one week in August. Making the reservation on the phone was simple and easy and the woman on the other end answered all of our questions. Checking in was a breeze and were in our room within 5 minutes. The room itself, an oceanfront deluxe room, was clean and very comfortable and had a great view. The housekeeping staff insured the room was always clean and fresh and the air conditioner kept the room cool throughout the heat wave we were having. There is free wifi throughout the motel and weekly concerts directly across the street from the motel. No need to use your car because the location of the motel makes it just a few steps to hit the boardwalk and the great free Wildwood beach. This motel is very family friendly with its meticulously clean pool and mini golf course. Your kids will have a great time here and may never want to leave! There are also many great restaurants in the Wildwoods (my wife and I probably have visited them all) but if you like to cook some of your own meals there are barbecues and picnic tables available. If you want to eat out in some of the great restaurants that are close by just check with the knowledgeable staff. They will recommend one to your liking. Overall, the motel had all the amenities we needed for an enjoyable, relaxing vacation. You can't go wrong with visiting the Wildwoods and I would definitely recommend the Gold...

The week myself and my Family spent at this hotel was Amazing !||The rooms were Clean and much more Spacious then we expected, Everything we needed was right there.||The Staff was very Friendly and Accommodating Starting off with Tina and Dan at the front desk who had my son in stitches while we were waiting for our room, even after the car ride. Alex and Tracy our maids, Can’t say enough about them. Frankie who Keeps the Pool and Mini golf area clean was a pretty funny guy as well. |Maria who wears a Constant Smile on her face must be the manager or director really made our older son Alex (10) Feel like a Golf champion after he got a hole in 1 on the mini golf course, Taking his picture for the website and putting his name in the chalk board in the office for all to see.||The Ocean views were clear and enjoyable and believe it or not we could actually see a school of Dolphins passing in the distance from the sun deck (ok Maybe only 2–3 but it felt like a school) ||The Pool was always Clean and Refreshing especially after a long relaxing day at the Beach which is right there. The Mini golf, Ping Pong and Corn Hole kept our kids busy well into the evening which is much appreciated when on a budget, The free Concerts put in by the town at the stage across the street we’re an exciting surprise and can be seen and enjoyed right from the sun deck.||All in all I will definitely be going back and would without a doubt recommend this...

My family and I will definitely be back! We showed up 3 hours before check in, and the woman at the front desk let me know the room wasn’t quite ready (obviously, we were hours early!) but told my kids and I that they were more than welcome to swim in the pool until it was. Got up to the room with my hands full of bags.. and a staff member offered to take a bag from me, and unlock my door for me. The next night my husband and I were grilling next to the pool and hanging out at the tables they have set up.. when another staff member approached us just to make sure we were doing okay, that our stay was okay so far and to inform us not to worry about cleaning the grill off because he would take care of it for us and that “your only job is to relax while you are here”. On the last day, we had left a large bag of our belongings by our door while we were carrying stuff to the car to pack up and I guess maintenance accidentally had thrown it away (it was a big clear trash bag, so easily mistaken) and one of the staff members jumped INTO their dumpster and began ripping bags open to help locate our stuff. The rooms are a little outdated but honestly with customer service like that.. I can see past some 80s looking curtains lol I know this review is long but I can’t thank Gold Crest enough for being so accommodating and helpful. It made our little family vacation a lot less...
