Mattress Firm Winder — Hotel in Winder

Bought my daughter a bed today and was helped by Julie Clements. She gave us a great deal and wonderful service. Highly recommend buying from here!

Edited 9/10/18. I’m changing my rating after having problems with my service. I purchased a cooling memory foam mattress and box spring and a bundle that included 2 cooling pillows, sheet set and a mattress protector and paid in full with no financing. Our mattress set was supposed to be delivered Friday 9/8/18 and after waiting all day and no delivery I called the store to find out that my mattress had not been ordered 😳 so it was rescheduled for Sunday. I also asked about our bundled set that was supposed to be delivered via FedEx and thank goodness I did because it was apparently was not ordered also. I was assured that everything had been fixed and that my mattress and bundle would be delivered on Sunday. I was specifically told that everything would arrive on the truck with the mattress. On Saturday I received a call from the store and was told that my pillows did not get shipped but that they had them in stock so I could pick them up at the store. My mattress did arrive on Sunday, along with my mattress protector but with no sheets. Upon calling the store again I was told that the sheets would be delivered on Tuesday by way of FedEx. Completely different from what I was told when I called on Friday. The delivery guy told me that every customer that ordered the bundle had the same problem that I had (expecting the sheets/pillows with the mattress). I was reimbursed 100 plus tax for my inconvenience. This is my second time buying a mattress from Mattress Firm just not happy with my delivery. Would have preferred to have everything shipped and delivered...

Overall was okay. When we first got there we were greeted when we entered the store. The gentleman working asked us what brought us in and we told him we were upgrading our bed. He automatically put us on the most expensive bed in the store and asked how we liked it. He asked if we were shopping for comfort and we said we were but wanted to keep our price under $1,000. He argued with us saying we didn’t want comfort solely based on the fact we don’t want to break the bank on a mattress and box spring. He then took us to the back corner of the store to try out the cheaper ones that are just stacked up against the wall. Thankfully we found one we liked and it was on sale. The gentleman had us come and sit by the desk so he could ring everything up. While waiting for him to ring it up I was just wandering around looking at everything else and this is when he said “you can’t afford that”. Once he got it all rung up he just assumed we were going to pay for it right then and there; mind you is came just over the $1,000. I asked about financing, since I had seen it one the website. He then started asking us multiple times if we are sure we wanted to make this purchase; making it seem like we are making a bad decision with what we chose. He asked a couple of more time not after that and added we could spend more with our credit limit. I understand he is probably working off commission, but if a customer finds what they want and told you a budget don’t pester them about if they want to do it or not. Like I said overall was okay. I put off purchasing a good mattress for years. My daughter moves here to GA to live this changed. She started sleeping on my guest air mattress, this didn't work for her. She wasn't able to get up from it easily and informed me she needed a good set of mattresses. We go to Mattress Firm in Bethlehem near Target. As soon as we walk in the store, we are greeted by Jacque. Her knowledge, service and smile made us welcome. She showed us several models and joked that naps are accepted up to 8 PM :-). I had to coax my daughter in to trying different mattresses and not just going for the least expensive option. Jacque told us all the features and how to obtain the best mattress for our body types. She let us know that if we got the Sleepy's CC we could get 3% cash back on the purchase of our two mattress sets. (Of course I purchased a new mattress too, hadn't slept on a mattress since my divorce) Found a great set from Simmons, which was known as the heavenly bed. All upscale Westin hotels featured this type of bedding as their good night sleep guarantee. Jacque gave us a good price and honored our AARP cards with a discount.
