Reasons for giving the lowest stars was because of the room cleanliness and troubles we ran into. Tonight we got to the motel and already I had a bad feeling because of the quality of the office and how unattentive the motel owner was. Owner was kind at first. My boyfriend and I went into the room and forst impressions were okay. But as i took a look around I noticed some serious issues. One was the air conditioner was a brown, outdated 90's machine that blew out warm air. When I went to use the bathroom, ants were crawling from in and out of the wall. When I tried to get the air conditioner to work, I noticed it wasn't properly put in so I could actually see the outside from our room because of the big gap between the a/c and the wall. Also, when I went to sit on our bed, the whole thing fell to one side.. this motel room (#19) had electrical issues or more like hazards!!!!!! The outlet was never properly installed so it was coming off the wall and the light about the T.V looked weak. After we saw dead bees by the window I flipped out and asked my boyfriend to flush them down the toilet because I didn't want our daughter getting into bugs. So after addressing all these issues with the owner, amd asking for a proper refund, she actually told us to show her the bugs and flies we said were taking over the room. I explained to her several times that my boyfriend flushed down the dead bugs already but she continued to lash out and actually called us, LIARS! I was blown away at how angry she was that we wanted a refund, even though we had legitimate issues with the room. She then admitted the outlet needed to be replaced because it was hazerdous but she failed to see how this room was by far an awful stay. Everything about this motel was disgusting, including the dirty looks we'd get from people who live there. I hope if you have children you'd pay the extra price to stay at a hotel or motel that value their customers and don't doubt you. Also security, this lady refused to tell us why the bolt lock was removed! Made us feel like we should never have came there and we definitely will never be returning. Tonight I sleep...
Read moreI booked a room July 3rd for July 5th -7th, giving the woman owner my credit card number to hold the room. I called her a second time the DAY BEFORE (July 4th)TO CONFIRM the total amount and to let her know we WOULD be there. Conversation was light and she seemed nice. Her accent is strong and I had a hard time understanding what she said a few times. I told her I was unsure of an exact time of when we would be arriving as my bf has an unpredictable work schedule and we were driving from Chicago, 3.5 hours away. I told her I would call her if we would be late to let her know we were en route. I called her at 8:10pm that day - she did answer hello, but didn't say anything else and hung up. I called her back thinking we got cut off, but then she didn't answer the phone. When we arrived, she was cold, saying I didn't call her and she gave my reserved room away!! We just drove 3.5 hours on a Friday Holiday weekend with 2 dogs and no vacancies anywhere at 8:30 at night!!!! WTF! I said - I gave you my credit card number to hold the room - and her response was "you no call!"...? How many times does she need to be called?? Did everyone have to call her 3 times to confirm? Doesn't giving your credit card number to hold the room AND calling to confirm THE DAY BEFORE ...AND again while en route mean I'm coming? How ignorant and greedy is that behavior! I would never, ever recommend this place. She got so many good reviews but she showed a different side to me. I guess it depends on her mood for the day. I would give her zero stars if possible. What a letdown and severe inconvenience. We had to drive another 40 minutes north out of town to find another place to stay. Needless to say, we didn't spend any time in the Dells. What a shameful and disrespectful way to treat a patron. Unbelievable. Please read the other negative reviews online before you make...
