This is a beloved annual stop that never fails to delight! Each year, we eagerly look forward to wandering into this vibrant candy wonderland and we're always met with an explosion of color, flavor, and nostalgia.
The candy selection is spectacular; rows upon rows of jars filled with everything from classic hard candies and retro favorites to gummies, brittles, licorice, and fudge. Whether you're craving tangy, sweet, sour, or something delightfully chewy, there's a treat for every craving. We love browsing the bins! It’s such a fun, kid-at-heart experience. The staff are always cheerfully helpful, offering recommendations and brightly smiling as you ponder your picks.
But Goody Goody is more than just candy. The souvenir selection is thoughtfully curated with Wisconsin Dells flair. The displays are colorful and well-organized, making it easy to find just the right item to commemorate your trip or surprise a loved one back home.
The shop itself has a cozy, cheerful vibe with a nostalgic charm that feels straight out of a storybook candy shop. There’s something about the sweet aromas, the joyful chatter, and the vivid display of goodies that instantly puts a smile on your face.
For anyone—even those who visit the Dells only once a year—Goody Goody Gum Drop is a must-visit. It’s a candy-lover’s paradise and a gift shopper’s dream rolled into one charming package. We can’t wait to return next year for...
Read moreI normally love this gift shop however, today I left very disappointed. My mom and I arrived at this store at about 3:45, we tried the outside doors to the gift shop but they were locked and there was no sign on the door. We looked through the window and there were still people shopping inside so we decided to enter through the candy side however, that door was locked too. We asked the attendants at the candy desk when the gift shop closed and they said that it closed at 4:00pm. We looked at the time and it was 3:50pm. My mom asked if they could ask them to open the door because it was NOT 4:00pm yet and everything online says that it was open till 7:00pm. The attendants refused to even ask. Looking through the windows the attendant in the gift shop was sitting down reading a book and there were two or three ladies still shopping. We were very upset especially since we told the ladies that we only need two things for Mother's Day gifts and we could see exactly what we wanted through the window. Their reply was that they will be open in the morning. However, we will not be in Wisconsin Dells tomorrow. Very disappointed as it has been my favorite gift shop in the Dells and the only place I wanted to shop after our...
Read moreGoody Goody Gum Drop: The largest candy store in Wisconsin was founded in 1975, when Pete Helland decided to open a candy store in front of his family’s amusement park Wisconsin Dells. It's second location in the heart of Downtown Dells wasn't opened until 1991 and features a massive lollipop sign that attracts sweet-toothed customers like a bug zapper light to insects. I've been visiting the store with each Dells vacation since I was a kid in the early 90s, and it continues to wow me to this day. Forget the massive lollipop sign, it's the heavenly aroma of sweet confections that draws me in. All manner of sweet treats can be found, including homemade fudge, hand-dipped chocolates, truffles, caramels, nut clusters, caramel apples, saltwater taffy, sugar-free candies and chocolates, jellybeans, ice cream, yogurt, soda, hard candies, gummies, rock candy, lollipops, popcorn, espresso, and gourmet coffees. With so much to choose from, there's no way this place is anything other than Doughboy approved! *There's also a vast amount of completed Lego sets decorating the shop. As a Star Wars nerd, I especially appreciate looking at all the massive Lego...
