Boat ride is great. Cool story to prepare you for the canyon. Poorly lit stairs, though, when you disembark, with wobbly/unsteady handrails. I fell and dislocated several fingers and suffered numerous bruises and contusions all over my body. There was no first aid kit, and when they found ice packs (at the end of the tour) the packs must have been expired because they didn't get cool at all, and one leaked. I had another passenger "pop" the worst finger into place before starting the tour portion, and dealt with the others when I returned to my hotel.
I was told by the staff to check in at the desk when we returned to town. That guy was kind of an @ss. He basically had a "so what?" attitude and told me that someone would call me in the morning.
It may have been the same guy calling me the next day. Very abrupt with me; he didn't call to check on how I was doing because he was concerned about me. He called because he had to. I told him about my dislocated fingers he interrupted me and-- very accusingly said "Fingers? You said it was one finger!" I didn't realize it was more (actually 3, plus traumatic injury to a 4th) until the adrenaline wore off and I felt that things weren't right. I didn't even realize the 3d finger was weird until later the next day. When I asked about some kind of refund-- after all, I decided to forego an ER visit at that time (a thousand dollars, minimum, probably closer to $2000), plus an insurance claim. They refunded my personal admission, but we spent over $200 on this attraction: admission for 5, a couple shirts, and the photos. Plus, I had to drive back to the ticket office because they found that they couldn't process my refund, because it was only a partial portion of what I had paid. Half of our admissions returned would have been nice and would have gone far in guaranteeing that we return for other...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreManager is horrible! NEVER GO HERE! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Went for the 830pm tour and bored the ship around 845pm sat on the boat for a 1 1/2 hours! Staff only once told customers that we were waiting to see what the weather was going to be like. I and my friend waited in the boat with many other people. IT WAS HOT! No wind even with all the windows open. They had everyone on the top floor come to the bottom floor after 45 mins of waiting. While we waited to leave the staff just stood around outside the boat and chatted. All the guest got very upset between the heat and the wait. Finally the so called manager said the boat tour was cancelled due to weather. BUT NO ONE WAS GOING TO GET REFUNDED. She stated everyone could get a ticket for the following day. This would work if you were a local but being it was a thursday many people are leaving that friday to go home. So almost 100 people waited while the manager went and got enough money to refund everyone, this would of been the end of it but NOPE! She left a poor teenager alone for 25 mins while she ran down the street to get money, when she finally did get back it was found out that she only got enough money for 2 people!!!!! And had to run and get more money! Needless to say everyone was very mad and did not have a single nice word to say. The manager was rude and mean to guests when they were telling her complaints and acted like we were robbing the company of OUR money! I will never go here again. I really wish I could do a review on the main focus of the tour but sadly never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis attraction was essentially a haunted trail. Passengers are driven out, by boat, to a hiking trail where actors are waiting to scare you. As someone who is easily scared, this was a thrilling experience. We went during nighttime which is the way to go if you honestly want to be scared. The boat ride out is honestly beautiful. I wanted to quickly give props to one of the actors at the very end. There is a very dark barn that was just too much for me and another person. An actor right by the barn (whom my party referred to as āStilts Manā) helped us by going into the barn and making sure the actors inside knew we needed a calmer version. He was very helpful and even talked to us in his normal voice instead of the character he chose to put on. Many more of the actors were funny and played along with all the jokes we made about them. The actors are really some wonderful people. The reason I give this 4 stars and not 5 is because of two things hinges; first, some of the actors just banged on the windows and screamed. Sure, itās scary but itās a cheap scare. Second, the wait to get to the dock was not fun. We waited in a building with some very loud music playing with very little AC. The walk down to the boat was also annoying. It was a series of very steep ramps that was difficult to walk down and walk up. Beyond those two things, this was a great experience Iād recommend for anyone who enjoys horror movies or who is looking for some fun. Also, itās best to go...
