After staying at a Best Western the night before, I have to say: Hampton always wins.
This hotel is in a very safe area with lots of food options & convenient stores nearby as well. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly as well.
I had my two dogs with me and they loved it! The room was very quiet, which is a huge plus since my dogs are protective and will become alarmed when hearing other guests outside or in the hallway. They seemed very content here. The pet area outside is small, but well maintained and clean. There’s a lot of grass all around the hotel which I appreciated for walking my dogs around, especially coming from the southern states where there is mostly rocks and evil ants.
Everything was extremely clean and well kept. Immaculate bathroom with plenty of towels, and the room itself has really high ceilings which made it feel pleasant instead of claustrophobic.
Tons of options for a hot breakfast and great brands like Chobani yogurt available. Even the coffee was amazing which is usually not the case at hotels.
Lastly, the price for the room was amazing. Surprisingly cheaper than a Best Western and a WAY better experience. I’m honestly very impressed with my stay here and I would highly recommend this stop if you’re traveling on the I-40 and need a place to rest. If you’re a woman traveling alone I think this would be a very safe...
Read moreUnfortunately, we didn't end up staying at this location since the hotel was booked and just about every other hotel in the Yukon area because of state track and field meet, convention, and graduations. However, the front desk girl who was working Friday evening was incredibly helpful to assist us in finding a room in the area. She went above and beyond, while juggling a few people who were checking in. She called around for us to avoid the hotel call centers and try to see what would be possible. Gave us a couple of direct numbers. She also provided tips if we had to look further in to OK City in where to go and not to since we were from out of town. We had just come in from Albuquerque around 6-7pm. We started calling for rooms before even getting into OK, and didn't think that every hotel in the Yukon area would be booked. As far away as Stroud was saying booked! We were just passing through and only needed one night. Not traveling with kids or pets. This employee was extremely helpful and kind. With all the stress we were under we didn't get her name. Can't thank her enough! The lobby area was neat and clean. The area around the hotel and parking was decent and didn't seem congested. Area appeared to be a newer built up community of Yukon. Places to eat, Target, etc. within a short drive on busy roads(5-10 min) or walking distance across the...
Read moreI normally wouldn’t write reviews but this experience was the worst I’ve ever had and since Stephanie (the woman who answered my call) refused to let me speak to a manager, this is my next best thing. Yesterday we were meant to check in with this location but we made a mistake and booked the wrong location. My husband is active military so he didn’t receive the confirmation due to being in the field. I called and informed Stephanie of our mistake and asked to please cancel our reservation…that we were currently checking into their sister hotel in El Reno. Thankfully I had our call on speakerphone since we were at the correct location and Leslie (the lady who was checking us in) asked me to ask them to please wave the cancellation fee. Stephanie informed me that she would not be able to cancel and we would be charged the entire stay!! I asked if I could speak with her supervisor/manager, she informed me that I could only call a few 1-800 numbers. Not only was she extremely rude to us but when Leslie asked to speak to her, so that she could help us, she was then rude to her as well. Leslie then called Hilton honors (since we are members) and they transferred her to the person who not only apologized profusely but canceled our stay and didn’t charge us a cancellation fee. I would NEVER recommend this location due to the horrific customer service...
