lovely store with an AMAZING selection, been going here for a couple of years but haven't really been back much this year due to the fact I switched to night shift. I went back today and was excited to see what had changed since the last time I had visited (around Feb 2020) and was dismayed to see that, presumably as a result of the recent election, the front desk and back wall of the register is now practically covered with political merchandise (t-shirts with political slogans on them, ornaments and other nick knacks with the visage of a political candidate, etc.). Went in to do some Christmas shopping for friends and family, but very disappointed to see that the people running the place so visibly and enthusiastically support extreme, polarizing, harmful ideologies. Walked in and the first thing I encountered at the entrance to navigate past was a large Trump display. Strike one. Then I noticed the people at the counter directly inside the door had no masks on and looked us like we were bothering them just walking in. Strike two. Then we noticed that none of the other people in the place were wearing masks or practicing social distancing plus several were milling about vaping. I was there for one specific display and went directly to where I was told it was not far from the front door while my wife headed to the car. A vendor came in to a nearby booth with some items and and just pushed past me wearing no mask, said no "excuse me", and looked at me like I stole his lunch. Strike three. I drove about 20 miles to come to check this place out… I got here at 6, only to be completely rejected by the blonde lady at the front… she made me feel very uncomfortable and told me they’re closing an hour early, and pretty much just shoved me out the door when the lights were all on. There was still people inside, and it’s posted they close at 7 on the door and online..? She said “Do you know whos booth your looking for?” (Like I’m supposed to know?)
