Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Yukon

I would seriously avoid this restaurant if I were you! I had never been to Popeyes before but my daughter wanted to try their chicken tenders. She only wanted the tenders and no sides. When we got to the window, the guy told me the total but he had a pretty thick accent so I couldn’t understand him. I wasn’t worried about it though because how much could 5 chicken tenders be? I got home and noticed on my bank account that they charged $14.44 for 5 chicken tenders!! We are sales tax exempt so this was even AFTER he removed the sales tax!! According to their website, the dinner with a side and a biscuit is $10.99 and on Doordash you can get 8 tenders only for $11.49. I called and spoke with a manager and she asked how much I paid and said, “Okay, let me check the price.” Comes back and asks me AGAIN how much I paid and then AGAIN says, “okay, let me check the price” and tells me that it is $13 something which still doesn’t make any sense because I still paid $14.44 after taxes were removed. She wanted to argue with me that when you come to the store and only order the tenders without a meal or dinner that the price is higher…. Even higher than doordash! Lol. Everyone knows Doordash prices are always higher than in the store. That was my first time going there and it will be my last!! The lady manager who worked at noon November 5 was extremely rude. No one was taking orders from the drive-through because they were shorthanded. There was no sign to let you know that they were not taking orders. I went around the building and waited like another lady in front of me. When they got to the window they got their food. When I got to the window the gentleman was about to put in my order. The manager yelled we are not taking any orders from the window. They had many clients waiting in line behind me. This is horrible business. The correct response may have been, your order may be a little slow due to short of staff if you would like to wait we will be with you in a moment. However the manager replied, we cannot take your order from the window because we’re shorthanded.We are only taking orders from inside. The manager on duty today had no customer service! I understand she was short of staff but any other restaurant that I’ve ever been to where they’re short of staff, they explain it will be slower but still help you. I noticed the person behind me had the same issue. I can’t imagine how much revenue that store lost today because the manager chose not to help all customers. The food's good and it's always fresh. But I only come here when I'm not in a hurry. It doesn't matter what time of day I come or whether I'm the only one there or not, there's always a wait. Even when I pulled up to the drive-thru window I was asked to wait. New review. 9-16-18. 1 star. I arrived a little before 11 and one of the employees came to the door and locked it stating but they were closed. I asked if she knew when they would open and she didn't just said that the manager had shown up yet. So I ran some errands came back a little before noon. Try it again they were open. I heard them tell the people in front of me that they didn't have any coleslaw, corn, something else I can't remember. So when she finished their order I asked if they had shrimp and mashed potatoes and gravy. She said they did. So I ordered. After waiting a very long time to get my order because the manager didn't show up and there's only two employees working I get my order. Then she tells me there's no cocktail sauce for the shrimp and there's no honey for the biscuit. She apologized for being out. I asked why they're out because that's not something that they have to make. She said the truck didn't show up.
