This property is a true bargain and would cost quadruple in any other city. Modern rooms with hundreds of TV and audio channels available feature personal safes, individually controlled heat, and unbelievably clean floors and bathrooms (I walked barefoot to test that--feet stayed clean!). The bed was a marshmallow mattress, true, but I still slept soundly due to the quiet and comfortable temperatures.||||Breakfast is served every morning from 7 to 10:30 AM, a very reasonable time frame. Although the usual items are included--cold cuts, cheese, bread, croissants, spreads, etc.--this hotel makes it extra special by including not only toasters but also individual sandwich makers! On those chilly winter mornings, it is heaven to be able to make a grilled ham and cheese sandwich (or two!) in just a few minutes. There are also yogurt drinks, juices, cereal, and corn bread available. Dining room is spacious and it is all you can eat.||||There are elevators, a spacious lobby, a water cooler, and 24/7 front desk service. While all the staff were efficient, I want to mention that Gabriel was particularly professional and helpful and made my stay there a special one. Vou resumir o que há de bom: a localização, o café da manhã satisfatório e a limpeza.Eu tinha reservas de Abril/2020, mas como sabemos, a pandemia suspendeu tudo; o Booking.com, me passou para negociar assim que possível novas datas e desde a msg de suspensão sempre tivemos contato cordial, via email, com o hotel atendendo de pronto e me tranquilizando, para remarcação;assim foi feito e as fronteiras foram abertas no fim de Novembro 2021, portanto, após marcar meus aéreos , remarquei com o Hotel América, as datas de 02 a 06/11/22, com resposta positiva e dizendo: Te aguardamos !Ao chegar ao hotel e tentar fazer o Check-in, vi um movimento estranho e a recepcionista , mesmo com minha ficha na mão, vem me dizer que eu não tinha reserva; imediatamente mostrei os emails e aí veio o Gerente ignorante, Sr Gustavo, me dizendo que não sabia qual funcionária havia confirmado minhas reservas e que não tinha acomodação, além de dizer que eu teria que arrumar outro hotel, pois já havia expirado meu tempo em 31/12/21; ou seja, eu estava em outro país, em um feriado, com minhas malas e sem estadia, tendo ainda que arrumar outra acomodação e pagar do meu bolso, sendo que eu já tinha pago 04 diárias e somente pagaria a diferença de atualização de 2022, como combinado via email.Depois de muita conversa e constrangimento e humilhação, eles cederam em eu voltar no dia 04/11, para usar até dia 06/11, pois assim disseram que haveria vaga; o que é um absurdo! Os funcionários na grande maioria são péssimos e sem nenhum carisma; te observam o tempo todo. No café da manhã tem avisos, dizendo para se for pegar algum item, como uma fruta ou qualquer outra coisa, para avisar a recepção, pois irá cobrar o item por fora!Durante o café da manhã, te observam o tempo todo!Para o Check-in, tem que cadastrar um cartão de crédito, com pré reserva de 100 dólares, para cobrir qualquer dano, causado ao hotel( Nunca vi isso , viajando no Brasil ou no exterior).me questionaram até por eu entrar e sair algumas vezes da recepção, pois aguardava um pequeno tempo, para voltar para o Aeroporto.Já pude ver em avaliações aqui e no Booking.com, que o Hotel tem práticas de má fé, aumentando tarifas, tentanto empurrar quartos superiores, com diárias maior e até cancelando ou dizendo não haver reserva, como foi meu caso; principalmente quando são oriundos do Booking.com.Já estou em contato com o Booking e com certeza irei entrar com uma ação judicial, contra o Site e contra o Hotel América, por todo ocorrido.
