Sanjar the owner is a wonderful man. He can make guests feel at home in seconds. Always eager to help and does not hesitate to wake up at 2:30 in the morning to call cab for guests leaving early to catch flight. He kept the place SPOTLESS CLEAN. The collection of his antiques display is jaw dropping. The only issue I had was that, his guest house is a bit away from the main attraction, but I still gave him a five star because he made all the arrangements for me such as calling cabs several times, making reservations at restaurants, finding me a guide etc to make my life much easier during my stay in Samarkand. This is a wonderful guest house, in the heart of Samarkand, walking distance from any place of interest. The rooms are very well equipped, comfortable and nicely decorated. They all have a view on the inside yard, so it's very quiet. There is a well equipped kitchen as well that can be used by the guests. But Above all, the owner Sanjar is one of the nicest persons I've met in Uzbekistan. Very helpful, knowledgeable and would give you some precious tips to fully enjoy his city. The owner treat guests with pure hospitality and prepares everything right before our arrival. He will provide you a tour map of Samarkand with everything you need, very thoughtful(to protect his copy right I won’t upload this map but it’s really helpful, tourist site, bank, museum and even antique shop included) I had a long conversation with him and he had a really comprehensive understanding and vast knowledge of the world and I have to say that I was greatly inspired.
