For your own sake, don’t ever stay here! ☠️||Me and my girlfriend arrived on the first of April this year (1/4/19) so about two weeks ago for one night, was the plan anyway. ||||Got room 101 I think which was located just behind the reception, at first we thought “cool, close to the entrance and the beach” but as we walked in the room stench of smoke and even worse the only window in the room was covered of bird shit so there were barely any light coming through. ||||We asked to change room which was no problem and got room 506 I think, not completely sure about the room number, this room had some stench of smoke as well but we just wanted to leave our bags and explore the city since we had landed in Da Nang that day so that’s what we did. ||After a nice massage, some exploring and a really good Vietnamese dinner we returned to our room around midnight. ||The reception was closed and we just went up to our room. ||There we found surprise after surprise. ||First a lot of yellow stains on the sheets, then a used q-tip in the bathroom, then we saw that there were no toilet paper only the rest of an old completely empty one but the obviously worst surprise of them all was that we found mouse feces (!!) on the floor, on the desk, in the closet and ON THE BED. ||||So, there we were, in the middle of the night with no one to talk to and trying to decide if we should stay or not. Since we were pretty sure that the mouse feces weren’t there when we dropped our luggage on the room earlier on the day and we weren’t so happy about mouses running around and shitting in our room when we are asleep we decided not to stay and grabbed our things and started walking down the road and ended up taking a room at the Jazz Hotel (really good and clean rooms) just a couple of meters if you go right when you walk out of Da Nang Bay Hotel.||||The next day we went back to Da Nang Bay Hotel and explained what had happened, that we hadn’t slept in the room and why we hadn’t done so and showed the girl in the reception the pictures and videos of the feces and some of the other issues we had with the room and after a while, since she didn’t understand or could talk so good English, she understood what had happened and translated on her mobile phone that she would tell Agoda (which we had made the booking through and prepaid the room to) that they should pay us back since it’s the hotel that decides wether it will be a refund or not. ||||We left the hotel, thinking that we would get our money back and left that city, Da Nang, that very same day to continue our vacation down south in Hoi An. ||A couple days later we get an email from Agoda saying that the hotel has decided NOT to refund us and keep the money. ||So we payed about 350 000 Vietnamese Dong for a room and breakfast we didn’t use and had to pay even more for another hotel (Jazz) so we had somewhere to sleep that weren’t covered in mouse shit, we spent more on phone costs talking to Agoda to clear this out then what we possibly should get back with the refund but at that point we didn’t care about the phone costs, we just didn’t accepted paying for a room where mouses runs around and shits when you sleep.||||So, to make this long story just a little shorter. ||Don’t book a room here!||The rooms are nasty, they lie to your face in the reception, they don’t understand English so you can hardly communicate with them and they take your money for a shit-room, literally. ||Everything I’ve written in this text is completely true and I will attach the pictures, unfortunately I can’t upload the video only pictures of the feces, just in case someone thinks I would make this up for whatever reason.||Take care and good...
Read moreI felt safe, comfortable and welcomed at Danang Beach resort. This is a woman owned business and I like supporting someone who really has created something for herself and her family. The lovely owner picked me up herself at the train station and returned me to the airport the following day which made it super convenient and easy. She speaks English very nicely. I liked the floor to ceiling window in the room and the fresh sea breeze. The beds were comfy enough, the room was clean and the shower was hot. There is an Italian restaurant right next door, a gourmet coffee shop, H coffee, about 5 minutes away if you like espresso coffee, a cool coffee and cocktail place across the street open only at night, as well as a 24 hour restaurant called Tucana close by, not to mention the hotel itself has a kitchen for breakfast with snacks available anytime. The beach is a few minutes away through a setting with tons of construction happening, it's not so much of a resort feeling area as it is a slightly gritty clash of investment taking over, but the beach is lovely and goes on for miles and you'll be just a moment away as the pastels of sunrise and glassy surf sing you over. You can rent beach chairs nearby for 40,000 vnd and drink coconuts with the happy tourists who arrive at My Kye beach on tour buses. There is a local motion street cafe right next door where they enjoy cranking up the club style party music at 6AM, I wondered if it might be carried over from the night before until I saw that it was just folks enjoying their morning coffees in their own neighborhood, I'm glad there are still places around for the hard working locals to enjoy. My five star rating is based on the price, at these prices you better not complain, be realistic about what you pay for. If you are looking for luxury this is probably not what you're looking for, but if you like a great price by the sunrise, with reliable transportation, beautiful smiles and good English spoken. I would recommend this place for a quick stopover in Da Nang. Enjoy your vacation! Thank you, Da Nang Beach Hotel, I...
