Overall Experience: 6.5/10 Mia Food and Drink is a casual local café-style spot blending American, Vietnamese, and European influences. The visit was decent overall—some hits, some misses. I might stop by again for coffee, but probably not for a full meal.
Food & Drinks: Ham & Cheese Panini – 7/10 ⭐ Tasted fine—crispy toast, cheese melted well, portion okay. Nothing amazing, but solid.
Fries – 3/10 ⭐ Pretty disappointing. Overcooked and way too crunchy, lacked that fluffy inside. Skip these.
Salted Coffee – 7/10 ⭐ Surprisingly good. Balanced saltiness and sweetness, served fast and at a good temp.
Prices 7/10 ⭐ Mostly budget-friendly. Panini at 105k VND and coffee at 40k VND is fair for the portions and setting. Fries felt overpriced for the quality. Overall, decent value if you choose right.
Service: 8/10 ⭐ Staff was friendly, welcoming, and spoke English well. Ordering was smooth, and food came quickly (coffee in 4 mins, panini in 10).
Atmosphere: 6/10 ⭐ A quirky mix of styles—some American diner vibes mixed with Euro café and Vietnamese touches. Not super cohesive but interesting. A bit cluttered, but not unpleasant.
Cleanliness: 7/10 ⭐ Tables were clean. Nothing stood out in a bad way, but also not sparkling clean.
Would I recommend it? Yes, but only for coffee or...
Read moreA rather amusing situation occurred. For a year and a half, I regularly visited a restaurant and had no complaints. However, I recently noticed a decline in service quality and decided to leave a review to help improve staff performance. After my visit and posting the review, I returned to the restaurant only to face an unexpected reaction: the waitresses informed me that I would no longer be served due to my negative feedback. They explained that the restaurant had decided to deny me entry because of my expressed dissatisfaction.
As someone who travels frequently and visits various establishments, I find this extremely unusual. Constructive criticism is typically seen as an opportunity for improvement, not a reason to alienate a customer. This situation left me feeling more sorry for the restaurant than disappointed. With such an attitude toward feedback, the establishment is unlikely to succeed. If customers are only allowed to dine there on the condition of leaving positive reviews or none at all, it seems absurd and contradicts the principles of quality service. I wish the restaurant luck—they’ll certainly need it with this approach to...
Read moreI was truly disappointed with my visit to Mia Drink and Food. Leaving aside the space and the food, what I couldn’t tolerate was the unprofessional and unfriendly attitude of the staff.
From the moment we walked in, there was no greeting or assistance. My friend and I stood around awkwardly until someone finally came over, but instead of being welcoming, the staff acted cold and indifferent, as if serving customers was a burden. When we asked about the menu, the responses were vague and careless, like “order if you want, or don’t.”
While we were eating, no one checked in or offered any help. We had to call three times just to get some water, and when it finally came, it was delivered with a very unpleasant attitude, as if we were bothering them. It felt like we were inconveniencing them just by being there.
With such poor service, I believe the restaurant should seriously retrain their staff or re-evaluate their work culture. The food might be decent, the space might be okay, but if the service is this bad, there’s no way customers will come back. This was my first and definitely last visit to Mia...
