Stayed there for 3 nights in their ocean suite room with my family (including 2yr old). Had a horrible experience and would not recommend it to anyone ever. Sharing details below:- Cons:-

Let me clarify, Me and my family didn't consume the milk included in our breakfast option (1 small cup approx 150ml each person) and decided to keep that for our kid because they refused to provide milk. We later put the same in child's milk bottle and they had issue with us putting the milk in child bottle and taking it with us.
Since they called themselves as "kid friendly" we thought they would provide milk..also regarding sterilizing bottle, we just called hotel staff(one guy being security, at times receptionist and house keeping POC post 2pm ) to check if they provide room food service and can help with sterilization to which he said no to either. but clearly visible it is very difficult for you all to help and understand. So we did it ourselves for all three nights. Was asking abt room service and possibility to check if they can sterilize is an offense ? In India every hotel provides these facilities and hence we just checked.
We can very well see high customer obsession from the staff where they are blaming customers itself for dropping hair in the food..what abt hair on the breakfast counters ? Was that also ours ??
Why would a customer in a third country demand to call local police despite knowing their will be language issues and have a early mrng flight? What kind of stories you guys are trying to pull here. This is new low but was kind of expected from hotel post what we witnessed live during the stay.
At the end , I genuinely felt I should highlight a bad and haunting experience we faced with everyone so that they can make the wise choice.. Their customer obsession is quite visible from their reply as well.. also, kindly go through all other reviews before booking this so called LUXURY hotel which is not even as good as...
Read moreWorst experience ever!!!!! We booked this hotel (November,2024) through Agoda assuming it'll be a luxury stay. But reality was something else that we could not even imagine. Firstly they have THE worst service ever. Arrogant Staffs (one who addressed herself as the Manager, what I don't know who exactly she is) and have some attitude issues for sure. I dont know from where they learnt customer handling. Worst customer support behaviour ever. We rented the Bike from them. The bike that they provided its was very poorly maintained. We found the tire tube has infinite numbers of punctures, that too after travelling 20-25 km from Danag to Hoi An😔!! Me and my husband got stuck there alone at the middle of the road, it was a highway, nothing was there. We called them for help as they committed to support vehicle exchange if the customer have problem during the trip such as tire puncture, traffic accident etc as written in the T&C paper (shared the image below) they provided us. And also written that we should contact them and they will come to the location to assist. We did the same. We were waiting for atleast 2 hrs or more for the mechanic to whom they were trying to reach and contact!! After 1 hour passed, they shared us a random contact number of a mechanic to contact. Thats it. We contacted and the person said he is not a bike mechanic, he is a car(4 wheeler) mechanic . Somehow this harrasment was going atleast 2 and a half hour with us , and luckily we found a mechanic passing by , helped us by fitting the tires (there we saw how bad the tire tube was ... It has tapes all over and punctures). Somehow managed and reached the destination and again we faced the same while returning!! And it was 11 at night , in an unknown country, felt helpless !!! We tried to contact the lady we talked with previously, she disconnected the call for 2 times. Then we directly call Agoda for help, and then she called back (also said they don't provide service after working hour)and said to park the bike at the station for the night and come back by booking a cab!!!!!!! I mean what is this behaviour???? We did the same. My husband parked (paid) the bike at station and returned by cab at 1:00am. It was a horrible day of ours made by one and only THE GRAND OCEAN so called LUXURY BOUTIQUE HOTEL.
As we faced this kind of inconvenience just because of there low maintenance and horrible customer support , should we not deserve the reimbursement of the money ( parking charge+ cab+ half of the bike rent)??? My husband had a long conversation with the lady who Definitely has some attitude problem and horrible behaviour as well (sharing some of her conversations and points she tried to prove and giving us the false allegations, also asking for extra money because she fixed the bike from her own pocket, according to her the whole situation was our fault) She denied every fault of them and bad customer supports ...an tried to justify herself as a saviour! We failed to made her understand anything because she was very rude.
However this Hotel made our Danag days horrible. It is a 3rd class hotel. Please don't get trapped by their false advertisement and the false paid reviews i think. There are much better hotels nearby to...
Read moreI will do pros and cons here. First let me just say this IS NOT a 4 star resort. Not by Western standards. Remember you get what you pay for. It was a grand hotel when it was built but now its run down and in need of upgrades. The reception Area is well kept after that not so much. Lets start with the pool and spa on the 14th floor. The elevator goes only to the 12th floor. Then you have to take the stairs. There is NO STAFF up there. It looks abandoned. The pool is clean but the so called spa is in sad shape. If you want a massage you have to call the front desk at least 30 minutes ahead of time so they can call a local massage shop and get someone to come there and give you a massage. Took them 2 hours to get a person to come. So now lets talk restaurant. It only serves breakfast. They say you can order room service but after my experience with the service I never ordered. The first morning I went for breakfast you could hear the cook coughing his head off constantly. Then you would hear him spit. Gross. I observed him not covering his mouth and spraying germs everywhere. I swear it sounded like he had TB or something. I complained to the front desk to no avail. Pros. Location is good. Staff is ok also. They will let you use an umbrella when it rains at no charge. Its been raining for 4 days now. Cons. Speaking of rain the large windows I have in my room leaked constantly. The housekeeping staff had to put towels down. The walls have peeling paint. The desk laminate is coming off and the aircon is dirty and old. Pros. The room is spacious and the bathroom is big and clean. The bed is big and soft. Room service came everyday and did their job well. Cons. OK this will gross you out. At night you can hear the vermin in the walls and ceiling scratching and running around. Paint was peeling off the ceiling and falling all over the countertop and floor. The hallway was never vacuumed as it has carpet. I paid $16.00 USD per night plus tax and fees so I should have not expected much. But when You go on Agoda you see these rave reviews. Those people are mostly from SE Asia that gave these reviews so they already have a lower standard is my guess. My Western standards came as a HUGE disappointment after arriving.
