This was by far my favorite seafood restaurant in Da Nang after staying there for 2 weeks. Service staff is hard working, multilingual and friendly. Food is outstanding - obviously very fresh but perfectly prepared and seasoned (this is where many other large seafood restaurants in Da Nang fall flat), just don't expect it to all come out at once or in a specific order. Favorites were grilled oysters with scallion oil, massive mussels steamed with lemongrass, razor clams fried in a spicy sauce, and banana flower seafood salad.
Prices are solid and actually more reasonable than those of other lesser competitors down the street.
Atmosphere is good with mostly locals and maybe 25% tourists mixed in. It can get noisy when it's full, but you expect that at a place like this.
I selfishly hope this place does not get a mention by the Michelin guide this year when they publish their Da Nang awards in August. Mainly because I don't want to have to stand in line to wait for a table when I come back. But I think the food here is high enough quality to deserve a listing, or even a...
Read moreAbsolutely the definitive location for 'you-pick-we-cook' seafood restaurant in Da Nang. Don't even think twice. Flavor recommendations by the waitress was on point. She knows how to pair the seafood with the proper sauce. Don't fall for the Vegas lightings at those other places, esp Lang Ca. Our Grab driver recommended that place eventhough we booked a ride to Dao Xanh Quan. Don't fall for it like we did on our first night in Da Nang! The Grab drivers will always take customer to Lang Ca (and everyone should know why by now). Dao Xanh is so much more affordable and the flavoring is better imo. I'm glad we did again on the second night. We got so much more for the same amount at that other place....

Good:
The service is good; waiters do help peel the mantis shrimp, which is very helpful. Bad:
The squid's viscera is not cleaned; it's still quite dirty inside. The tiger shrimp is not fresh enough; it seems to have been dead or nearly dying when it was boiled. We brought these issues to the waiter, but no one seemed to care.
The free appetizers were too spicy. We asked the waiter if there were non-spicy ones and made sure she understood, but she never came back.
We also ordered rice, but the waiter forgot to serve it, which was just as well because by then, I couldn't wait to find another restaurant...
