Only hotel we have been to in Vietnam with no complimentary coffee, tea, mugs. Despite there being a kettle in the room. 2. Staff are not very friendly any request is met with irritation for having to provide a basic service. Never greeted when you come in or out of hotel always ignored, not even a smile. Vietnam has such good service nearly everywhere else we have been except for at this hotel its very strange. Either the staff are miserable with their own management or they are just terribly suited to a job in the service industry. A smile and a bit of empathy goes a long way.3. Reception staff did not welcome us with any information at all just gave us the room key card.4. Swimming pool dirty. No staff available in the afternoon at the pool. No towels for pool available. Hotel staff said it’s because they were all being used but there were two used towels on deck chairs left there for 2/3hrs. Just showed staff had not attended the pool area. No one serving coffee or drinks at the “pool bar” (didn’t exist when we were there). This hotel is massive and there were 4 guests with towels and two used towels on sun beds that guests had left. So basically they have 5 guest towels for the pool for an entire 10 storey hotel.5. Breakfast is bad. Not much choice, mainly cold and not replaced often. Coffee usually cold with a tiny mug available. Staff all quite miserable. Any requests are met with a sigh like you are an annoyance, even just asking for cutlery. 6. Room itself is just sub standard. No hot water in the shower. Door handle screws loose not far from breaking. Bathroom was not cleaned properly. Marks on taps and sink and grains on sand on the floor. 7. Cleaners just walked into our room without knocking whilst we were inside and had the do not disturb sign on the door.8. Room is not soundproof the noise of the swimming pool pump was very loud above us.9. Overall looks like this hotel was four star once upon a time, about 20 years ago. But its clearly 3 star at best now. The only thing that looks like the advert is the reception hall. Truly believe management at this hotel have just failed in their ability to create a good working environment and a good culture for providing customer service. Expect young staff, not many people able to to talk good English, staff talking amongst themselves, bored, unhappy and just a general bad atmosphere full of visibly disappointed guests. If you want 4 star seriously reconsider this hotel. If you look through the negative reviews you will see similar complaints. Something we didn’t do beforehand which...
Read moreI’m currently using this Hotel for my accommodations & I cannot post a review on Booking until after I check out, so I wanted to review them on google to clear up some bad reviews travelers posted on Booking that I find to be false.
I’m an American Female traveler & I have stay a few different places in Da Nang & Hoi An. This Hotel is by far a 5 star Hotel & is the best Booking that I have had. I liked my first few days here so well that I canceled my other Hotel stays to stay here longer.
The Hotel is very clean & the staff are so friendly & so polite. Despite complaints from other Westerners about the Breakfast Buffet (which can be included with your room price if you choose, or pay $4/ USD) myself & other guests have really enjoyed the large variety of foods.
They serve several different kinds of local Vietnamese cuisine, make your eggs/ omelets fresh to order. There are plenty of drink & coffee options, plenty of fruits, & toppings. So far it’s been the best Hotel breakfast that I have had & even found it better than Sala Resort Hotel.
I booked the Twin room which has a large window & a partial ocean view. My room was very clean & very spacious. The TV has many APP options & local channels & the Air conditions works exceptionally well 😀!
They provide different WiFi channels, each for each floor, so WiFi has been super fast & really reliable. It’s in a great location, just 2 blocks to the Beach.
The neighborhood has tons of food options, Mary’s, salons, etc. Which includes many different versions of Restaurants from many different cities! They have a 24 hour staffed Security guard outside & inside, it’s a very far place & they provide Scooter parking.
The Pool is great! The rooftop patio has plenty of seating & shade & plenty of lounge chairs. The Pool was wide enough for us to exercise & do swim laps. The Pool Bar is closed for renovations, but they have a mini fridge in all rooms, you can simply enjoy your own beverage.
The rooftop Pool area also has a shower room & toilet room. You do need to bring your own towel ti the Pool, but you can ask maid service to provide you with extra towels.
Beautiful view of the Ocean & Lady Buddha from the coveted Patio seating area. I posted photos below that I took today. This should be a 5 Star Hotel with a more than 9.5 rating on...
Read moreStayed three nights, no staff to help with luggage up the stairs, (I am in my late 70's) given one room key and breakfast tickets,. Up to room, flimsy curtains that wouldn't keep moonlight out, very basic fittings. Bed okay, pillows terrible. Room looked like it needed a good clean, air conditioner leaked so badly we had to put a towel on the floor.||Breakfast: What a joke, limited amount of food and virtually nothing to suit Western guests, sour faced staff, lukewarm coffee and tea. Had to request hot water each day.||Staff: Requested that Air Con be looked at, their answer to problem was to turn it up to 25c!! That'll work!! It didn't and in the end we gave up asking them to fix it.||Night staff (male) was a lazy obnoxious person, no spare toilet paper in the room and when asked for some more it was like we were asking for their Family Jewels!!||The only two nice and friendly staff were the two young girls on reception. The rest dont understand English, thank God I speak a fair bit of Vietnamese and my Wife is Vietnamese.||Room Amenities: An old kettle, no tea, coffee or sugar. When asked we were generously given two coffee and two tea sachets. Gave up and bought our own!||No restaurant to have a meal at night, no bar although there was a very dilapidated one on the top floor where the pool is located.||This Hotel needs to go back to Hotel Management 101 and get the basics right.||It was totally different from what it shows on Booking.Com etc.||There are so many other hotels in the area and we were glad to leave to go to Hoi An.||Not Recommended. No business centre either.||Oh did I mention the slamming doors and noisy occupants??! Well we...
