Updated: 03-03-24, March 4th & 5th My husband and I stayed 3 nights, $41.30 per night (not including taxes and fees) at Premium Ocean View Twin Room 1414. Per my husband, the receptionist was pleasant when he checked in.
We arrived on site 12:30pm. Even though check in time was after 2pm, the staff checked us in right away. Great service!
Once entered our room, we saw the toilet seat broke. We called the front desk staff, they sent 2 handymen up immediately and fixed it within 10 min. Great service!
We requested to change our room to a single bed. The next day after making a call to the staff, a bell boy brought us the key and walked us to Room 1210. We got exactly what we asked for. Great service!
After coming back from our appointment, we couldn’t get into our room. The key malfunctioned. We talked to one of the handymen down the hall, he went down stairs and came back with the key that worked. Great service!
Yesterday, the hair dryer in our room didn’t work. Before leaving to dinner, we mentioned to the staff. When we got back to our room, the hair dryer worked. The staff took care of the problem. Great service!
Cannot say enough about the staff of this hotel. They were extremely accommodating and did everything they possibly could to make our stay pleasant. So glad we gave this place another try before we left to Da Nang.
Thanks Ms. Binh for all the accommodations! We appreciate your professionalism!
Feb 28 & 29 We stayed 2 nights (Feb 28 & 29) in Room 810, Premium Ocean View, $39.38 per night (not including taxes and fees). Comfortable bed and pillows. The duvet, however, was rough on the skin. The fridge was not cold.
Main issue: we had a dentist appointment at 9am on check out day (March 1st) and was not sure how long it would take. Requested a late check out, 30 min extension. We checked with the front desk staff the night before, he said to check back in the morning at 8am when his manager is in. The morning of our appointment, we checked at the front desk again, a staff (after confirming our room #) told us no can do (reason, he said they needed 2 hrs to get our room ready for a new customer).
Note: Beautiful view. We could see the ocean from our bed....
Read moreI feel obligated to advise others that there are much better hotels in the area, I would not stay here again.
Most importantly (before I provide my reasons), I would be wary of the positive reviews of this hotel. The hotel knew I was not happy with my stay and when I was checking out, they had the nerve to ask if they could help me write a positive review for the hotel. It's possibly illegal to leave negative reviews in Vietnam, so the hotel staff helping to write reviews to mislead others on Google is disturbing at the least!!
As for the hotel, the breakfast was ok, a little basic compared to other hotels, but not terrible. The staff definitely did not seem to want to be there.
In the room, I felt like I had to remind them to leave new toilet paper because the housekeeping service missed this twice. The shower would always drip a lot of water outside of the tub, I couldn't do anything to prevent this and even asked them to look at it, but it's just poor design. So the bathroom floor will always be wet. Also, getting in and out of the shower is no small task. It's very high, so you almost have to straddle the side of the tub like a horse to get in and out. Now, add a wet floor to the mix, and it's an accident waiting to happen! I also had to have the staff work on getting the shower water to be hot. It was never really hot, maybe warm at best.
I booked one a high end room on the website and it was extremely dated. I felt like I was staying in a cabin in a camp site. The view was beautiful as it overlooked the water but it couldn't make up for the other issues.
Overall, this hotel is very outdated and in need of major redesign and update! I think the staff know this and that's why they really try to do their part to make your stay enjoyable but they are just putting lipstick on a pig.
Again, I was absolutely disturbed because never have I had a hotel offer to help me write a review. That's highly unethical and misleading. That's why I felt it was necessary to leave a 1 star review to balance things out in favor...
Read moreThe hotel is conveniently located in front of the picturesque My Khe Beach. You literally walk across the street and you're right on the beach! The entire staff, from the front desk to bellhops, was extremely friendly. We were always greeted with warm smiles as soon as we entered the hotel, and are glad to have met such accommodating individuals. Additional thanks to Mr. Hoang and Ms. Chi for their help and patience with all our requests and questions, which included organizing transportation for a few day trips to nearby cities.
Since the hotel is brand new (less than 3 or so months old), the facilities were very clean and modern. Our room offered a great view overlooking the ocean. There seems to be a lot of development in the area, so I'm not sure how long this view will last, but at this point, it's fantastic. When we arrived in the room, there was a fresh fruit plate to welcome us. The bathroom has a standing shower with a rainfall shower-head.
The hotel offers a lot of great amenities. We received a complimentary airport pickup, and there are plenty of taxis waiting in front of the hotel for trips into the city area. The breakfast buffet offered a diverse selection of tasty food, complete with a chef station that freshly prepared waffles, pancakes and noodle soup. The 5th floor lounge has a swimming pool along with a view overlooking the Beach, and is open early in the morning until the late hours.
Our stay at the Serene Hotel was a wonderful experience, and would recommend it to any traveler looking for a relaxing time. We will definitely be back the next time we...
