Misa Hotel — Hotel in Đà Nẵng

Stayed here for two nights between Hanoi and Hoi An. As seems usual here in Vietnam had to give the passports in at check in with no receipt. We had a VIP room with a fridge but no minibar as advertised. The room and bathroom were clean enough but the problems came with the noise.||The hotel is situated between three building sites, one of those is another high rise hotel directly attached to the wall opposite the room door. Drilling and hammering would start around 6-7am each day so there was no chance for a lie in, without the building work the room service crew where so loud anyway.||The water in the shower was just about tolerable for a quick shower bit couldn't seem to get it warm at any hour of the day.||The hotel reception would also either call or knock on the door in the evening to ask if we wanted to buy breakfast. There was nobody on the front desk mostly when coming or going. We also found a normal meter taxi was cheaper to the airport than the advertised...

The Misa Hotel is in a fun area one block from the ocean. Comfortable and convenient but a bit noisy. You hear the sounds of the city until about midnight but that's because you are so close to the action. Lots of eateries around and the beach is right there. My room had an awesome view of the water on the 9th floor. The building has an elevator, rooms have air conditioning, private bath and decent bed. The room doesn't have a safe nor do they offer free breakfast, as advertised. This is not a deal breaker since the hotel is very safe and food is very inexpensive. Laundry service was good and there is 24 hour reception but they speak very limited english which can be frustrating for the first time...

The staff of the hotel was nice although they don’t try very hard towards their customers’ comfort. Upon my arrival they tried to give me a worse room rather than the one I had booked. Also, forget about having a beautiful view from your window. I booked a room with a sea view but to my big surprise the hotel turned out to be right by a construction site and all I could see from my window was a couple of ugly cranes. The cleanliness of the room could also be better, the walls were dirty and needed redecorating. To make a long story short, I do not recommend this...
