This hotel advertises (and still is today on their official site page) 'dinner and bar' well they didn't exist during our visit, nor the panoramic view and snacks served to overlook the city.Pictures show a lady with snacks and cocktails on the official website, yes we have photos to prove this in case they magically disappear.|Most guests only stay a day or two and have full mobility so this wouldn't be an issue but if you struggle walking and are staying 15 nights then this became a major problem. We booked on this basis. The manager said to us get a take away and eat it on level two (the restaurant level). Eventually agreed a 25 per cent discount but he wasn't happy.|Breakfast is obviously very South East Asian centric but again the website states a mix of Eastern and western food, mmmmmmm cold chips for breakfast is not very western. If like my wife you don't like spicy food then you will struggle and will have to eat eggs and bread.Very small choice of fruit.|Housekeeping are a nightmare and had to call them back on more than one occasion to clean the bath or sink properly.Toiletries are meagre a very small bar of soap and about 1 cm of shower gel and shampoo given per day if lucky (they didn't bother some days to check) probably due to guests only staying for 3 days at most on coach tours.|Pool very small and windows filthy,3 sun beds but without the advertised bar no point in using it.Again manager came out with a brilliant solution to come to reception and buy a drink there to take back up to the pool wet from getting out of the pool.|Now the good parts Nancy Nguyen is fantastic and in our opinion should be the manager, her people skills are exemplary thank you Nancy.|The reception staff are very good as are the restaurant staff.|I shall end with this as it was our last interaction with this hotel,we checked out at 03.45 as we had an early flight and woke up the desk guy who was asleep on the sofa opposite reception desk and he asked us to wait until our room was checked. After about 10 minutes he called us over and said you are missing a spoon you should have 2.I said to him we only had 1 or maybe housekeeping took it and never replaced it.He said I have a photo to show you which he duly showed us ( now these spoons are so small they are no real use for anything) so the intimation was that we had stolen it.Well he looked at my face and thought better than to carry that on.|Would i visit Da Nang again...yes but be more choosy on which hotel...
Read moreWe were a family of mum, dad and 2 kids under 9yrs. What can we say about how easy it was at Paracel. We were there in late Jan, 2025. We were recommended connecting rooms which was absolutely what we needed with kids having their space with cartoons , play, etc. Plus 2 bathrooms. Now onto the staff- superb. BREAKFAST Dining: Duyen, Dung and Dong|Reception: Nancy and her colleagues. |Housekeeping: all, sorry was not around to request names. The breakfast team led by Mr Dong and everyone (apologies for not naming all) are fabulous. Very grounded and truly wonderful people. Nancy and her reception team are excellent too. Tip: seek their advice for Data Sim cards, and travel. We did, would do it again. |Location- our first time in Danang. The hotel is across the road from the beach. Lovely food next door, laundry dryer pick up service next door, a grocery outlet too. We did spend days exploring Da Nang. Then after showers, drinks and dinner within short stroll of Paracel. Recommend Ba Na Hills. Ask Nancy for tickets and travel. Very fair and honest. |Final thought- we will be back at Paracel. But those who want to be at a luxury establishment (we have been to a few) and have very high expectations for the 5X less you pay here - ignore this review. This is not a paid review but a heartfelt appreciation for Paracel and the lovely people of...
