We were really pleased when we got to the hotel - fantastic location, big room and a huge balcony. The front of house lady was so incredibly nice and friendly speaking excellent English. She showed us on a map where to go for food, where the sites are and everything else. As I said the room was really nice with a massive bed. |It’s such a shame that Club H2O is located right next door. We were on the 7th floor and had been out all day. We got back at about 10pm couldn’t understand why we could thumping dance music. It was louder in the room than outside, which we thought was strange (we didn’t know about club H2O at the time). We had brought ear plugs (I’ve travelled to Asia a number of times and know that the street will be loud). However the walls and the bed carried the vibrations of the beats. Even with ear plugs it just didn’t help things. At 12:30am I phoned reception and despite being annoyed at being told I should have ear plugs (this was the night porter) she said it would stop at 1am. It didn’t. It stopped at 4am. We got barely any sleep. |We had to change hotels in the end. The initial front of house lady was mortified and incredibly apologetic. She said that the owner is attempting to do something to shut the club down but I don’t expect they will. |If you’re deaf and can’t feel vibration, this is the...
Read moreJust finished a 3 night stay here. The room itself is fine and the hotel in general is good. Very clean and a good finish on all the fittings etc staff are generally friendly and breakfast is good. However they have a real problem with noise from a club attached to the hotel. Although our room was "soundproofed" we could hear the pumping of the music throughout the night, starting about 10pm and finishing at 4am. The volume was drastically increased on the Friday, our last night, since it was the weekend. The previous nights had been manageable with earplugs, but the Friday was unbearable. The room was also situated terribly, on the first floor, right next to the restaurant for breakfast (which starts at 6:30am) which means you can hear people talking in the hallway, walking up and down the stairs and if they leave the restaurant door open, which they often do, you can hear talking and plates clattering too (again even if wearing earplugs). Overall a good standard of hotel with great beds and facilities, just a real problem with noise and the specific room we stayed in, room 103, isn't ideal in...
Read moreIt's so comfortable to stay there. Indeed a simple but cozy little boutique hotel, clean, looks new & well maimtained hotel. The staffs were friendly. There's one fluent English speaking staff, Tony. He's very helpful & friendly. ||Also during the breakfast there's an attentive lady staff, she doesn't speak English but very helpful in serving.||||I think this nice hotel needs more exposure. It was a perfect stay for us.||||- It's somehow difficult to find the location by GPS. Is it "Hanoi V Maison" or "V Boutique"? Need consistency in naming the hotel & key in the address for making it more searchable. We had been making round & round, asking people around about where...
