La Siesta definitely has a lot going for it as a boutique hotel. I stayed here for 2 nights and I thought it was worth every cent paid.
I stayed in an executive room (room 412 for anyone who needs to know). It comes with a balcony, but the view from my room was not great. I was pretty much looking at the back of buildings. Well, not that you'll need the view really.
On warm afternoons, you can rest in the very comfortable bed with plush cushions. There's also a smart TV which connects you to YouTube and Netflix. The air conditioning is pretty strong, so you'll be able to enjoy the cool comfort of the room.
The toilet is rather compact, with the shower and toilet in one section, while the wash basin is in the room, next to the closet. It's pretty interesting that they have some sort of partition separating the washbasin from the work table. However, you might want to keep your papers or electronics a little further away from the partition, as this partition seems to intentionally have panels without glass coverings. In other words, if you're prone to splashing water around at the wash basin, you may have water on the table.
Every day, two bottled water are provided by housekeeping. Near the door are two buttons to toggle for Do Not Disturb and Please Make My Room. I made the mistake of turning on the Make My Room button and housekeeping came at 8am. So a tip here would be to perhaps turn it on only once you've left the room.
The breakfast here is pretty good, served at the restaurant on the ninth floor. It has pretty good views of the surrounding area. Breakfast starts at 6.30am, and apart from the buffet spread, you can also order some hot pho, or eggs in several styles. I was quite impressed with their eggs Benedict, and I recommend that you order it too. The buffet spread is split into two sections, one with the cold food, and the other with the hot food and pastries. I liked the cold food section, which featured sushi and rice paper rolls. There were also at least two varieties of salads and four types of fruits to pick from. So I would say it's a pretty healthy spread. They also have some cakes for those with a sweet tooth. On the two days I was here, the spread for the hot food section changed, so you wouldn't need to worry about having to eat the same food for consecutive days.
And finally, you should stay at La Siesta because of the convenient location. It's just a short walk from the pedestrianized zone on weekends. Even on the street, the moment you exit and turn right, you already have other...

Read moreOur first visit to Hanoi, Vietnam went smoothly, comfortably, and was excellent largely due to the wonderful staff, and exceptional service by everyone at La Siesta Premium Hang Be.
Thank you so much!
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel the week of May 27-June 1 (we went in the middle of the week to Ha Long Bay-- on a cruise arranged by the hotel. They kindly messaged me prior to the trip, offering some cruise packages and made it super easy, and stress-free to book the cruise and even had transportation pick us up from the hotel and take us back)!
After long days/nights of exploring Hanoi, we always looked forward to returning back to this wonderful hotel (it was very hot and humid outside but the hotel was always so welcoming, pleasant, and with air conditioning, and plentiful amenities).
Their rooftop view at the bar in this hotel is also top-notch and amazing! They have Happy Hour at the roof with lively music, and great drinks.
We also really enjoyed the daily included breakfasts as well. Compliments to the servers, chefs, kitchen staff. Everyone was so kind, and the food was delicious. We loved that the variety of Vietnamese and western style dishes changed daily. The fresh fruit everyday was amazing, and hot dishes were always great. The daily option of Pho (beef or chicken), eggs, and your choice of any type of coffee (Cafe Sua Da is our favorite, iced of course) was excellent as well. I've never enjoyed a hotel breakfast as much as at La Siesta Hang Be.
The kind staff at the hotel goes above and beyond to help with ANYTHING you need - from carrying up your luggage, to arranging taxi airport pick-up, or Grab. They even packed us two To-Go breakfast boxes when we had an early flight to the airport at 4am!!!!! They are so considerate and kind.
The staff and everyone working are so nice here. I will always remember everyone's generosity and excellent service.
I highly suggest you book La Siesta Premium Hang Be for your next trip to Hanoi, you...
