Restaurant located at the centre of Hanoi hence it is a very touristy restaurant. Went here as the rating looking good on google & was starving as that time. The meal came one by one, and we have to wait about more than 30 minutes for our fried rice to be served while other two meals were already being served to us. We did asked the waiter 2 times and they said 3 times a charm so our fried rice finally came after 3 times of asking the waiter without any updates about it to us beforehand.
FOOD taste is mediocre, bland with small portions & quite expensive as it is in the tourist area. We didn’t drink alcohol yet being offered two times to have a shot (I guess since they felt guilty that the fried taking so much time to came).
STAFF was mehh, they did took the wrong order of us and it is being showed in the bill. We didn’t order spring roll, but it was in the bill and they cancel it after we...
Read moreLittle Hanoi was just next to my hotel and it seems to be catered more to the Western tourists. In fact, while I was seated here, huge groups of Western tourists, purportedly on a food walking tour were coming in. Rice is provided for your meals, so all you need to do is order the dishes. The chopsticks here are also packaged for anyone with hygiene concerns. I got the fried eggplant with ginger sauce (95K VND) and this was a little on the salty side. It was good to have with rice. I also got the fried pork with lemongrass and chilli (110K VND) which was pretty decent. The pork was tender and the sauce worked well. However, by the time I was done with these two dishes, my pumpkin soup (45K VND) was nowhere in sight and I had to ask about it. It did eventually arrive and was pretty creamy and tasty. Overall, I would say this place is pretty much non-pretentious and it's perfect for some...
Read moreI normally don’t rate restaurants this low but I really did NOT enjoy eating here. Food is overpriced. I have eaten in road-side stalls and that tastes better than here. Fried rice has clumps in it. Spend your money elsewhere. The atmosphere feels very touristy. I am a tourist myself but the vibes are just…off. The chopsticks smell like a cockroach. I just lost my appetite as soon as I found out the smell is coming from the chopsticks every time I take a bite. Waiter did not specify he was going to give us bottled water. He asked us what we wanted for drinks and we said no thanks. He then offered water so we said okay and thought it was service water. He then proceeded to write it on our tab. 💀 Let me clarify that I can pay it, no problem, but the whole interaction just felt scammy. I think he knew what he was doing so we just let it be.
Tldr, won’t be returning here...
