If I do not like the place I would prefer not to rate, but not now.
This was the worst place I've stayed in Vietnam.
DESCRIPTION ON BOOKING.COM DOES NOT CORRESPOND WITH REALITY.
Booking - photos with a window next to the bed. Reality - there's one window behind the door between the showers. There's practically no natural light in the room.
Booking - mix dorm room with a view.
Reality - view in the hall behind the door between the showers. No view in the room. Obviously, no balcony.
2)Booking - brightly colored bed frames. Reality - frames are dark brown with gray curtains that don't block out the light if someone turns it on in the middle of the night.
Reality - they charge you "just" 17k/night for transferring from mix to ladies dorm.
Plus, they do not split women and men in mix dorm like the other places do.
Reality - they charge you 50k for the 10 min - 1h of delay. Even if it us traffic collapse because of the heavy rain and flooded streets. "It is not their falut" that you cannot go through of these conditions. No customer focus or human attitude.
There's always someone's hair in the sink and a soaking wet towel on the floor
The woman on reception is rude and unprofessional, just "doing business, nothing personal". In hospitality industy. Cool.
Parking is on the street on the pedestian line so bikes are wet then it is a heavy rain.
Moscitos in the reception/co-working place. You will hardly sit there if you do not have your own fumigator and sensitive to moscito bite.
They insult customers who write truthful but inconvenient reviews (woman on reception)
With all described above they charge x2 price compared to the same other places.
Btw they have pluses:
I made pics with and without...
Read moreNot my favourite hostel in Hanoi, the lady who works the desk is VERY helpful, she played music in the evening and helped guests as much she can, happy to chat and have a laugh so thankyou 😊 - guy on in the day time kinda sucked, he was rude at first, not very helpful and was just on his phone 24/7 .. i told him there was spew in the bathroom and he didnt care too much. The hostel is not very soundproof so you can hear the construction up until 11pm and horns honking at all hours.. the beds are not comfy and very noisy. Also security? people just seemed to wander in as they pleased? It didnt feel very secure, if you walked in with enough confidence the man on the graveyard shift wouldnt question you, I had 2 very ignorant drunk people wander into my room who were NOT even staying there.. one who puked all over the bathroom and overflowed the sink and helped himself to a bed?!! 🤢 The breakfast was the worst hostel breakfast we had so far (and we heard many complaints made, the day guy did offer a girl his fruit to compensate - which was nice) when I asked for a coffee I was handed an instant sachet... like hellooo we are in Vietnam?! Where is the good stuff? + after the night of no sleep I needed condensed milk & sugar, a comfort coffee (or 6x so I went elsewhere) also the small communal space is dirty, no one really cleans up or empties the bins. The cleaner lady was lovely but she'll just wander into your room at all random hours of the day/night... this is not a place if you need good rest.
Disclaimer: I think hostels should adopt a question to all guests "are you here to party?" If you click yes, because most are then all the party animals can get put into a pen so all the young nanny & poppy travellers like me can attempt a quiet...
Read moreLoved my time at this hostel. Very clean rooms and washrooms. Management are dedicated towards their job in customer service and support. Except that I lost my sports shoe from outside the female dormitory. Had informed the night shift staff who mostly sleeps in the couch ,but he didn't put any effort to help out. Ask the housekeeping lady staff too but she said she doesn't know. That was disappointing. I had to keep it outside dorm since i prefer not keeping shoes inside bedroom as shoes does release odor smell, and in my country we have a habit of keeping shoes in shoe rack outside rooms. I strongly feel housekeeping staff removed it from there. But it was their duty to atleast ask before just removing it away and later losing it . Also it was neatly kept at one corner. From my observation, the manager of the morning shift ( spectacle guy) is really good at his job. Very helpful with everything and always looks cheerful, amazing guy. However night shift guy doesn't know English at all, and is not active in his work, seems lazy and not interested in his job, he needs more dedicated training. The female owner is a nice and helpful lady as well. Anyways, I loved this hostel, considering I was a solo female traveller, I felt safe and at home. Thankyou. Request- Please install AC in the reception hall, it was very hot and sweaty. People are sitting there working in computers, eating, also I noticed the manager was really feeling hot and they work there for so many hours , so not just guests, also the manager should get that comfort. Who sits there throughout the...
