I'm really unsure why there's so many positive reviews of this place, I really didn't think the food, Ambiance or service really warranted anything above two or three stars.

Food: unfortunately, I found the food pretty bland and not traditional Vietnamese. It's really weird that the menu is so giant. It also includes French and Italian dishes like pasta and pizza. We only ordered Vietnamese food but the eggplant and pork dish was not very well seasoned and I found the fried spring rolls to be incredibly oily and the fresh spring rolls to be very dry. My cocktail (crazy pho) was not tasty, very strong but not well balanced.

Service: I thought the service was very lacking. We had a group of nine and the server constantly was missing getting the order for some of us, whether it be getting everyone's drink order except one or then getting everyone's food order except one. We constantly had to chase the servers down to get our orders in.

Ambiance: I sat at a table that was against the wall and then noticed that the paint on the walls was coming off and had completely gotten my long sleeve covered in the paint. I brought it up to the server who told me that he was going to give me something to wipe it off, but I had to remind him of this because they did not bring me the rag until much later.

We had heavy rain tonight (which we also had on Sunday and it was not an issue at the place I ate dinner at), causing a massive leak to form through the roof where we essentially had a small waterfall coming through the inside of the restaurant. This created a power outage followed by an electrical spark, which is incredibly dangerous. The inside rain completely filled buckets but the service staff did not replace the bucket. So a lot of the water overflowed meaning that we were standing in puddles and getting wet. We had to push away our table and then move to different tables in order to not get soaked while eating. Despite this awful and very dangerous situation, the restaurant only gave us a 10% discount for the troubles, and then charged 2% for using a credit card.

So even without the rain and the inside waterfall, this place definitely was not worth it. Adding the rain and the terrible infrastructure and how they handled it is definitely an even...

Food was great and the atmosphere was amazing. The only disappointment with the negative stars was I felt that the staff could have done better.

We stood outside the restaurant browsing the menu for 5 mins while the waiters just stood inside and didn’t bother coming to us or inviting us in which was surprising. A lady came up to us eventually probably the owner who then offered us a table.

What’s more disappointing was that some caucasians who came in later than us had their tables set faster than us and orders and food taken. Probably because they were with a tour guide who are are most likely in cahoots with the restaurant.

It’s rather disrespectful that an Asian country values such foreigners more than people who come from much more affluent Asian countries. Definitely felt a lack in Asian hospitality there.

Wouldn’t recommend as an Asian myself. There are better restaurants in the vicinity who wouldn’t discriminate.

**The reply from the restaurant is rubbish. I had no appointment and I had not come earlier or later I came before 730pm after my trip from Halong Bay and after reading good reviews about this place.. which is shocking and mostly from foreigners after looking through the reviews again. The tables were not full at all. There were plenty of seats available at the low level as well as the high level when I arrived with some of the staff just standing there not welcoming anyone in. And what’s this rubbish about tour group earlier served and what not. We are paying customers too, and the fact that we came and sat before the tour group arrived with our tables not set and theirs set earlier after having arrived later says a lot. You clearly don’t value your other customers. If that’s not discrimination then please explain. I don’t need the discount, I could bring my money and business elsewhere where tour group or normal customers are treated equally.

Please learn that tour group or not, normal paying customers deserve to be treated equally as well. We are paying customers too. That’s the basics of customer...

What a fantastic spot in the very center of Hanoi Old Town! A must visit whilst here.

10/10!

Thank you Hanoi Food Culture Restaurant for gifting us such a beautiful memory and experience.

We were looking for a nice, authentic Vietnamese restaurant for a family dinner out. Ideally we wanted to escape the chaotic and loud Hanoi for a couple of hours - all to enjoy some family time together and to have a chat.

This place was perfect for this.

The menu is very well thought out and has a great variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes and cocktails.

The cocktails were grand!

The food itself was UNBELIEVABLE! Delicious, fresh, beautifully presented and served hot, right off the stove!

By this time we had eaten at quite a few great Vietnamese restaurants and we thought nothing else could surprise us or beat the previous experience. Well, we were wrong! This place was definitely the best of them all!

The service was excellent. Our waiter Bao was very polite, professional, helpful and attentive. Thank you Bao!

Loved our dinner here.

Highly recommend it that you...
