Overall, our stay at Hanoi Fiesta Hotel & Spa was okay, but there were several hiccups along the way.
Firstly, a day before arrival, we were informed that our Agoda booking for the family connecting rooms was only for 4 pax, and we would need to pay extra for the 5th guest. This was confusing as our booking clearly indicated a king bed + two single beds, which should accommodate 5 pax. Eventually, the hotel admitted it was an error on their end and waived the extra charge but this is definitely not something guests should be told just one day before check-in.
Secondly, the “family connecting rooms” are not directly connected by an internal door. Instead, there’s an extra door outside both rooms that closes off the common corridor, creating a “connected space” when both doors for room 1 and room 2 are open. The odd part? There’s a camera placed right above the door of room 2, facing this space. It feels intrusive and could be better positioned for guest privacy.
Thirdly, Room 2 had only one aircon outlet, which took hours to cool the room even at 17°C. A fixed fan didn’t help much in Hanoi’s heat. We only received an extra room key (to keep the aircon running while out) and an additional fan after complaining to reception. If this is a known issue, the solution should be offered proactively at check-in, not only when guests bring it up.
Fourthly, the additional bed was missing its duvet insert. Since we discovered this late at night after housekeeping hours, we had to make do without it.
On the plus side, the location is excellent, walkable and close to the Old Quarter, and staff were friendly. However, the repeated small issues during our stay, plus weak shower water pressure, made the experience less enjoyable. For the price point, we weren’t expecting luxury, but the overall stay could have been better with more attention to detail and...
Read moreI recently stayed at this hotel with my family and overall, it was a really positive experience. The location is fantastic—it’s super convenient for exploring the old quarter, and everything felt within easy reach. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable, with well-equipped rooms and good bathrooms. The showers were great, which is always a plus when you’re traveling.
However, there was one issue that might be an issue for some guests, especially families with young kids. We stayed on a Friday night, and there was a loud concert next door that went on until just after midnight. It was pretty disruptive for us because we have little ones who needed to sleep. If you’re planning to stay here, I’d recommend asking about any events or live music nearby, especially if you’re traveling with kids. For adults-only groups, this might not be a big deal, but it’s something to keep in mind.
On the plus side, the staff were amazing. They were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. They also gave us some really useful local recommendations, which made our trip even better. It’s always nice when the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and help you get the most out of your visit.
Despite the noise issue, I’d definitely consider staying here again. The hotel is spotless, comfortable, and well-located, and the staff really make it stand out. I’d just plan ahead and maybe check about any events happening nearby to avoid any surprises.
Overall, this is a great hotel with a lot to offer. Just be sure to ask about any potential noise if you’re planning to stay on a weekend or during an event. For adults or those who don’t mind staying up late, it’s a...

The hotel truly sits in a strategic spot for any traveler wanting to explore the best of what Hanoi has to offer.
The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable.
