Been in Hanoi for a week and heard really good things about this place. Came, went to order food and was told they’d sold out! (3pm ish) so I grabbed a drink and thought I would come back another day a little earlier. Thought it was weird tho that they are open until 9pm but ran out of food 6 hours before closing ?
Came back a few days later, tried to order food but this time was told that the kitchen was closed! Drinks were nice so I stayed for drinks and the free Wi-Fi, but disappointing.
God knows why I came back a third time. Free Wi-Fi probably. Arrived, tried to order food. Told both excuses that their kitchen was closed and that they had ran out of food, but still offered me pastries. Got a pastry and egg coffee and sat upstairs since there were no tables on the bottom floor, only to come up and see every single table had been uncleared. Had to clear a table to sit down at myself and then waited a fair 5-10 minutes for my food and drink. Croissant had melted cheese on top which was scalding hot but the inside was freezing cold.
Disappointing that they are so hyped, but it is impossible to order food that ends up being...

First off, the aesthetic is an absolute latte dream — chic, cozy, and perfect for your next coffee-date or Instagram scroll break. The vibes? Steeped in style.
Now let’s toast to the food: 🥪 The pulled pork sourdough is soft, juicy, and packed with flavor — every bite was a pork-fect experience. 🥑 The avocado grilled toast? Creamy, dreamy, and grilled to golden perfection — avo-lutely delicious. 🍳 The English breakfast comes in a generous portion, and I swear the bacon deserves its own fan club. It’s bacon me crazy.
As for the drinks, Hanoi is known for its coffee, but this place raised the barista! The salted coffee and egg coffee are hands-down the best I’ve had in the city — rich, bold, and egg-ceptional.
And a special shoutout to Jupye, whose service was top notch — warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate. She really beaned the difference in our experience.
Bottom line: Come for the coffee, stay for the service, and leave with a heart (and belly) full. ☕💛

Read moreThe food was very good, but some of the worst customer service I experienced in Vietnam. This was a surprise as this country has provided the best service of any country I have ever visited, so unfortunately, this cafe was a bit of a letdown.
No one welcomed us when we entered the cafe, so we sat ourselves down at a table of our choice. No staff members approached us to give us menus, so we had to go get the menus ourselves from the till area. They told us that we had to order from the till. There was an old woman who worked there that looked very miserable when walking around the cafe. The music kept cutting off a lot, which annoyed us and wasn't very pleasant.
Thankfully, the food was very nice, so it wasn't all bad there, which is why I provided 3 stars as quality was good.
However, the service and atmosphere were a real letdown for us. This is more due to how high the standards are in other cafes and restaurants that we have visited in Vietnam. So, Hanoi Coffee Culture, you need to improve on your customer service as it is not to the standards of your...
