Delicious and authentic Japanese ramen, but the service staff needs retraining. I have eaten at another branch of this restaurant at Phan Ke Binh.
Food: 4.5/5 (Yokohama Tonkotsu Max Ramen is one of the dishes I've ordered and would highly recommend to everyone; it deserves a 5.5 rating. I like that the restaurant offers many options and free condiments and soy sauce for customers to add to their ramen. Their gyoza is also quite good. However, I don't really like the takoyaki here, as the outer layer is too dry.) Atmosphere: 3.5/5 (The restaurant is quite small, and it can be difficult to move around when it's crowded.) Decor: 4/5 (Show kitchen with a Japanese style.) Price: 4.5/5 (Although it's delicious, the price is a bit higher compared to other ramen places, but not by too much, so I'll rate it 4.5.) Service: 2.5/5 (I was torn between 2 and 3 points, but due to my previous good impressions of the other location, I'll give it 2.5. First, regarding the parking, I visited on a day when the street was closed off, so one entrance was blocked, leaving only one side for parking. Without anyone to guide or watch over the parking area, my bike got stuck in the middle when I was leaving. Secondly, the staff's attitude was quite poor; they didn't greet me when I arrived or left. The staff member who handed me the menu wasn't very attentive, and I had to call several times. He also forgot to ask if I wanted to reduce the saltiness of the ramen and only remembered after a while. The female staff seemed to have nothing to do and stood chatting in the kitchen right in front of the customers. Additionally, I think the staff should take better care of their menu; it looked quite worn out and greasy as if no one cared about it.)

Could be due to the fact that we arrived at 2pm, end of Service, so in a way, we should be thankful to have been able to eat there.
About the dish, Ramen Noodles were to my taste over cooked. In the cooking method, not sure how they did it, but noodle kept on cooking while in the broth: after a while, the noodles absorbed the broth and became waterly.
About the Cockroaches, true. I took some pic but wont publish as it's not the aim to harm any business. The reason could be that doors are constantly opened, so cockroaches come from the street.
For the Owner, i know it is very hard to maintain good quality especially with multiple locations, so i am sure he will do his best to increase quality and train his Employees. But right now, i have to be very honest and kind.
Good luck...
Read moreThis is one of the worst restaurants I have been to. I show up at around lunchtime. The restaurant wasn't busy. I stand at the entrance, but no one bothers to talk to me for 2 minutes. The staffs were busy playing with their phones. I decided to seat myself. After reading the menu, I waited another 3 minutes with no waiter or waitress coming to take my order. There was a staff member standing in front of me behind the counter, but he was playing with his phone. With staff like this, I doubt they can ensure food safety standards, among other things. I left the restaurant. I recommend the owner to fire all the staffs, hire new ones, and train them properly. Zero stars rating. No wonder they are not busy. If you show ip at lunchtime and it is not busy, you will know why, and I recommend you go...
