Lacasa Old Town Villa — Hotel in Hội An

Dear Lacasa Old Town Villa Management,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally complain about several issues I encountered during my stay at your hotel.

I checked in on February 3, 2025, and I had booked two rooms for the night. Unfortunately, one of the rooms had several significant issues. The ceiling was leaking, and there was a large black water stain on the ceiling. Additionally, the bathroom door would not close properly, and each time it was shut, it made a loud noise that disturbed my friend who was trying to rest.

These problems severely impacted our stay and our ability to get a good night's sleep, which is, of course, very important when staying at a hotel. Despite our attempts to ignore the issues, it was impossible to sleep comfortably due to the constant disturbances caused by the noise and the water damage.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could address this situation by offering a resolution. I kindly request either a compensation for the inconvenience caused or a refund for the night’s stay in this room. Additionally, I hope you will take appropriate action to ensure that future guests do not experience similar issues.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lacasa Old Town Villa, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring a warm welcome and providing great assistance throughout my stay. The breakfast spread was impressive, offering a variety of delicious options to start the day right.

The room itself was cozy and comfortable, providing a serene retreat after a day of exploring the old town. However, there was one downside to my stay. Unfortunately, we experienced a temporary power outage in the morning, which left us without electricity and rendered the air conditioner ineffective. This made the room uncomfortably warm, detracting from an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Despite this inconvenience, I must note that nothing was offered by the staff to rectify the situation. While this was disappointing, it did not overshadow the positive aspects of my stay. This is such a great find; it was a newly refurbished hotel when I stayed in December 2023. I stayed for 4 nights over the Christmas period, I recall being one of the first guests after the reopening.

The room had a Q size bed accessible from both sides, small wardrobe, fridge, desk, TV, ensuite bathroom. Very clean, comfortable bed, enough pillows and bedding for a comfortable sleep. The balcony was great for fresh air and natural light. Excellent water pressure and lots of hot water available.

The hallways can be noisy especially in the mornings with people moving around. Bring some earplugs!

The location is excellent, easy five minute walk to the tourist strip and restaurants, cafe's, bars etc.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Breakfast in the restaurant on the ground floor was tasty and plentiful.
