I received the worst treatment I’ve ever experienced in Vietnam. Upon entering the restaurant, I told the staff that we were a group of three. There was one empty table for four outside on the first floor. I asked three passing staff members if we could sit there, but they looked extremely annoyed and didn’t say “yes” or “no” — they just ignored me completely.
While I was still waiting, I saw another group of two customers entering after us. So I asked the staff again if we could sit at that same outdoor table. This time, I was told to go to the third floor.
I went upstairs to the second floor (on the way to the third), and a staff member there told me to sit on the second floor instead. But the second floor had no customers, and the loud noise of walkie-talkies echoed through the space, making it feel completely unfit for dining.
I decided to go back downstairs to check if we could now sit at the outdoor table — only to find that the two customers who came in after us were already seated there.
At that point, I had lost all interest in eating at the restaurant and immediately left.
Inside seating on the first floor was overcrowded, with guests packed tightly into a small space. The noise bounced off the walls, making it incredibly loud and far too chaotic to enjoy a meal.
Also, the walkie-talkie noise echoed throughout the entire restaurant like a blaring siren. The staff seemed completely uninterested in their customers, perhaps because they were too busy — but out of all the restaurants I visited in Vietnam, this one had by far the...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to Hoi An, I had the pleasure of dining at a hidden gem that left a lasting impression. The menu was diverse and catered to both vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. I opted for the tofu with tomato, morning glory, and stir-fried vegetables. Each dish was expertly prepared, with fresh ingredients and a perfect balance of flavors.
My friends, who are meat lovers, were equally impressed with the braised pork and shrimp in Hoi An chili sauce. The combination of tender meat and rich, spicy sauce was a standout.
What truly elevated the experience was our host, Mina. She was an absolute delight—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in ensuring we had a great time. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she effortlessly accommodated our dietary preferences, making everyone feel welcome.
Whether you're looking for a vegetarian feast or a hearty meat dish, this restaurant offers something for everyone. With Mina's exceptional service and the delicious food, it's a must-visit...
Read moreIt was our first dinner in Hoi An and we felt like having warm hugs from a loving family. They offer a la carte menu but also have buffet option with great dishes selection.
We opt for a la carte menu: morning glory stir fry, omelette with scallions, chicken salad and boiled pork belly with måm sauce. The flavours and how the dishes were cooked were spot on. They are simple dishes but they made them so well (and saying this from a fellow Asian who ate these dishes growing up)!! Chicken salad is impressive - so fresh with extra herbs and the dressing has good balance between sweet and salty. The pork belly is nicely cooked, tender and goes well with house pickles (which is delicious). It was hearty dinner and I ate so much!!
The staff is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is so nice - giving a traditional architecture and interior styles. Beautiful cookery. It's great value - not expensive at all compare to other bistros of the same vibe. Highly...
