I usually don’t like leaving negative reviews, but after an uncomfortable experience with the supervisor David, I feel I need to share this. It was our first visit to Vietnam and also our first time at this restaurant, so naturally, we took a bit of time ordering and asked for recommendations. Unfortunately, David was very impatient and made us feel rushed and uncomfortable during the process.
Later, I asked a different staff member for help—she was kind and assisted us properly, which we appreciated. However, one of the dishes we ordered came with pineapple, even though I clearly mentioned I’m allergic to it. We called for the supervisor again—not to complain aggressively, but just to inform him since allergies are serious and this could have ended badly. Instead of listening, he denied we ever mentioned it, got defensive, and treated us with an attitude.
What really surprised me is that the rest of the staff were friendly and professional, while the supervisor was not. On top of that, I ordered a mango milkshake without ice—he got the order wrong, and the shake itself was disappointing: mostly milk, barely any mango flavor.
All in all, this was a frustrating experience. We won’t be...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of dining at Met on our first night in Hoi An, and it truly set the tone for the rest of our trip. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed and memorable evening.
The food was absolutely outstanding, every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. It was not only delicious but also great value for money, which made the experience even more enjoyable. There’s a wonderful variety on the menu, with something for everyone, whether you're looking for traditional Vietnamese cuisine or more modern twists.
A special mention goes to Tracy, who looked after us throughout our dinner. Her attentiveness, friendly nature, and helpful recommendations truly made our night extra special. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed.
I would highly recommend Met to anyone visiting Hoi An Ancient Town whether it’s your first night or your last, this is a dining experience you won’t...
Read moreExcellent service and atmosphere, however the food was bland and some items were very overpriced, even by touristy standards. Probably a good 'safe' option for picky eaters, but was not for us.
The beef rolls were decent. However the white rose dumplings lacked any distinct flavor. The photo also shows the portion size (less the two we already ate). 120k VND seems very high for them. We were warned by our waitress that the portion size would be small, but considering it was on the first page Specials menu, I expected something more special.
I think only tourists ever eat here. We were greeted in English despite being Vietnamese (not the server's fault, just they are probably used to that). Servers were were polite and knew menu well.
There's also nice...
