Q Villa Hoi An — Hotel in Hội An

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! We booked thru Agoda looking at the location which is quite near the ancient city. We arrived at 12pm n were told the check-in time is 2pm. There were not a single occupant and none of the rooms were occupied during our 3d/2n stay. We were asked to pay 100k dong if we wanted to check-in before 2pm which we declined. We were then pestered to buy the clothes hanging at their reception n bombarded with tour options which we said we will consider later once we have settled down with a room. We were given a back room without a window and were told it was Agoda that booked us in this room. The only option to change is to pay the extra which we turn down. The next day, we ask them on whether we can get a bike n was told 200k dong. I said the usual is 150k dong n they told me to go elsewhere. We went opposite to Bong's residence and the operator was so so friendly. Got a ride for 150k dong. We were given a tour of their rooms too n the room with balcony only cost half the price we paid at Q Villa. Managed to make arrangement for a ride to Danang the next day with them too. Q villa turn me down flat when I asked them on anyway to get to Danang. Bong's residence immediately make arrangements for my transport. No cleaning service was provided during our stay n when we asked them why, she said we need to request. With regards to the room condition, I will let the photos speaks for itself.

Firstly think this homestay is good , at good location yet still clean and spacious. Just bathrooms cleanliness may can be cleaner. But end up same as some earlier comments which is abit dishonest,that we get tricked to a very high laundry price 6 times more than market rate.we thought it’s 17k/kg when we asked as this is the market rate , end up we got charged 70k/kg and weight seems heavier as a medium bag, end up paid ~350k higher than my luggage fees just for the laundry. Will also keep asking you for other service like spa or transport With plenty restaurants nearby but it’s at night market side still need cross the river to main tourists spot, it’s abit difficult to walk cross during raining day. Q Villa is close to the night market, but again the night market has very little offer, very touristy kind. Owner is decent recommended us tours and transportation, even booked a transport for us to our next destination in Da Nang.

However, 1 thing i would like to share is that we took the bamboo boat tour from Q Villa, it turns out to be the least enjoyable tour that we had. The boatman that was assigned to us, were kind of old (enough to be your grandpa or grandma). The boat did not rock like what others had experience.
