I stayed at fusionsuites for 10 nights in August 2024. Because of my flight arrival, I arrived at 4AM, but there was someone there to greet me warmly and check me in quickly and efficiently. (It wasn't early check-in, but very late check-in from the night before!)
With one or two minor exceptions, everything about my stay was extremely pleasant. All of the staff, from the front desk to the dining room to the room service, are very friendly and polite. I was greeted warmly whenever I encountered someone. Room service is exceptional, with an optional second service in the early evening.
The room was clean, spacious and had good outlets and lighting. The microwave was useful, but the fridge was one of those glass-doored ones that don't get very cold.
Breakfast, while not the very best I've had in HCMC, was perfectly fine. There is a good selection of hot and cold Vietnamese and Western items, with eggs styled to choice and various coffee options. The food selections change daily and pho is sometimes an option.
The surrounding area is vibrant, with many eating options, from pho to banh xeo and banh mi to (somewhat pricey) vegetarian restaurants. There is some major sidewalk work being done along the main road close to the hotel, which made walking to the nearby Trung Nguyen Legend coffee shop a bit challenging.
That brings me to the first negative of my stay. The hotel was having some renovation work done while I was there, and from my room it was incredibly noisy. Usually it was from about 10am to 5pm, with a break for lunch. I think if you're out doing tourist or business things during the day, it wouldn't be a problem, but I was in Vietnam for medical reasons, so I was often confined to my room. It would definitely be worthwhile checking the status of the construction if you plan to occupy your room during the daytime.
The other slight issue was that one night the ceiling of my bathroom started to leak! The problem was handled very quickly by the hotel staff. They immediately moved me into a (better) room on the floor above, then the next day I moved into a new, permanent room - funnily enough, the one directly above my original room. It was barely an inconvenience, and the hotel gave me free late check out on my last day to compensate me, which was actually very useful, given my flight time.
I would unreservedly recommend fusionsuites, and would certainly stay there again if I need a place...
Read moreI had the pleasure of staying at Fusion Suites Saigon at the start of a 3-week trip across Vietnam with my father and cousin, and it honestly set the tone for the entire journey. All three of us had an exceptional experience here. Everything from the check-in process to our final day felt seamless, welcoming, and truly enjoyable.
The hotel itself is beautiful, modern, clean, and incredibly well-designed. It also deserves major credit for accurately representing itself online. The photos matched the rooms and facilities perfectly, which isn’t always the case when traveling. It was such a relief to walk in and see exactly what we were expecting, if not better.
One of the biggest standouts was the bed. It was extremely comfortable, and the pillows were hands down the best of the entire trip. We stayed at several hotels, including higher-end ones, and none of them matched the comfort we experienced at Fusion Suites. After long travel days, getting such a good night’s sleep made a huge difference.
What really made our stay special, though, was the people. Two staff members in particular, Tran and Vy, went above and beyond to make us feel cared for. They were warm, genuine, and incredibly accommodating, always checking in with a smile and offering help before we even asked. You could really feel their kindness and dedication.
That said, it wasn’t just them. Everyone working at reception, behind the kitchen and bar, and in housekeeping was equally kind, professional, and welcoming. We were always greeted with warm smiles, thoughtful service, and a real sense that the staff takes pride in creating a great experience for every guest.
Out of the five hotels we stayed in during this trip, Fusion Suites Saigon was by far the most memorable. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be back on my next visit to Saigon. Huge thanks to the entire team for starting our trip on such...
Read moreThe Worst Hotel Experience of My Life
My experience at Fusion Suites Saigon has been nothing short of a nightmare. I contacted them three weeks before my booking, hoping to adjust the dates. They denied my request three separate times, despite my patience and clear communication. Frustrated, I finally asked to cancel my booking altogether, which the manager confirmed he would do. However, instead of canceling, they sneakily changed my dates to what I had originally requested upon check-in—without my consent or confirmation.
Upon arriving at the hotel, the disappointment continued. The room was utterly appalling for a so-called “four-star” establishment. The couch was stained, the bathtub was also stained, and the bed was an absolute disaster—the springs were literally popping out, making it impossible to get a comfortable night’s sleep. The level of neglect and lack of quality was shocking.
The customer service was even worse than the room. I spent 45 minutes with the receptionist trying to come to a resolution, only to be blatantly lied to for over an hour. They claimed there was no manager on-site, only for the manager to magically appear just as I was about to leave. To make matters worse, I was told he was “on vacation” prior to this encounter.
Adding insult to injury, Loc the receptionist at the front door was condescending and rude. He even spoke in Vietnamese—presumably so I wouldn’t understand—making the entire situation feel disrespectful and unprofessional.
This has been, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience of my life. The lack of accountability, atrocious customer service, and unacceptable room conditions make it clear that this hotel does not deserve even a fraction of its supposed “four-star” rating. If you are considering staying here, don’t. Save yourself the frustration and book elsewhere. This hotel is a disgrace to...
