Meraki boutique hotel — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

When we got there, we were immediately downgraded from the room we booked for a cheaper rate because our room wasn’t even ready at 8pm (Saigon time).

The room was small and cramped for 3 people (1 x double bed and 1 x single). After an extremely long flight my bed against the wall had ants crawling on the sheets. I notified the staff who just simply seemed shocked but offered no compensation or even a clean of the room again.

This place is located on Bui Vien street which is extemely loud and full of clubs; this wouldn’t have been an issue if the glass was properly sound-proofed but the noise and music continued until 4am in the morning making it impossible to sleep.

Absolutely horrific experience at this hotel, I was traveling with 2 other women and we were treated horribly by staff. The checkin process took 40+ minutes, with the receptionist trying to take passports, yelling at us and rolling his eyes. At one point, he was unsure if he charged me, and tried to take my phone to access my bank app! The location is terrible and music shakes the whole building well into the early morning. The rooms were not cleaned well, and nothing was done to help. I am not a fancy person by any means, I have backpacked around and stayed in bad conditions, but the condition and location of this hotel coupled with the behavior of the staff makes it truly horrible. I would stay in any hostel before I ever set foot...

The room was extremely small and looked nothing like the photos. The staff were also incredibly rude. We checked in around 7 PM and immediately noticed that the room's light was broken, making it quite dark. When we asked the staff for assistance, they showed no willingness to help at all. To make things worse, we later found that the bedsheet was stained with * and when we requested a replacement, the male staff again refused to assist. Frustrated and disappointed, we checked out after just one night. No matter what kind of help you ask for, the staff refuse to assist.
