The hotel staff are friendly and check in was smooth. The room itself is old, spacious and very clean! Especially the carpets. Breakfast is boring and it's the same thing every day. The same fruit, the same selection of mains and they do not top up anything until asked..... I'm giving 3 stars, good location and friendly staff because of the following points that I dont think many reviews mention 1. The hallway of the rooms do not have any air conditioning or fans, it's literally just 2. windows opened for ventilation.... the lobby's air conditioning is not as good either (probably due to the crazy weather) 3. There is an unbearable sewage smell that somehow becomes more prominent during night time. I am not able to get any sleep at night because I am awaken by the bad smell. I didn't bother telling the front desk because I am leaving the hotel in a couple of hours. 4. We stayed on the 5th floor so the noise isn't that bad but be prepared to hear the muffled sounds of the walking street which is behind the hotel. In the day time it's a normal street, IN the night it transforms into the hottest nighlife spot. The noise didn't bother me as much as the smell!!!!! Overall, the stay in the hotel was fine. The Liberty Hotel offers a mix of both positive experiences and areas for improvement. Overall, it seems to provide good value and convenience for travelers, especially those arriving without pre-booking. Guests appreciate the hotel's cleanliness, comfort, and outstanding service. The rooms, especially those not facing the main road, are quiet and spacious, contributing to a restful stay. The 24-hour reception ensures guests can get help anytime, and staff, including the receptionist, bellperson, and security, are noted for their attentive service. Guests have also praised the hotel's location with convenience stores nearby for added convenience. Not all is perfect, though. Some guests have highlighted issues with the air conditioning in hallways and the lobby, which need improvements, especially given the local weather. Others have reported an unbearable sewage smell at night which affects their sleep. There are also complaints about the repetitive breakfast offerings and inadequate replenishment of items until prompted by guests. The Liberty Hotel, despite some areas needing attention, remains a preferred choice due to its friendly staff, clean rooms, and convenient location. With some improvements, particularly in air conditioning and addressing the sewage smell, this hotel could offer an even more enjoyable stay for its guests.

This 3* hotel manages to combine some amount of comfort with value for money. This hotel does offer some amenities to keep you content. You can expect to find to the class bathrooms with bathtubs, WiFi, a dining area with breakfast options and spa. It is also one of the hotels in district 1 that has carpeted rooms maintaining its standard. The location is its greatest advantage. It situated right at the heart of District -1. Few of the rooms overlook the park. While most of the rooms have windows facing the neighborhood. The dinning area on the top floor has a sitout facing the park. The check in is at 2 pm which one might want to cater according to your travel plans. Though the rooms have a check out at 1200. The rooms have old air con of Daikin brand. The room we were offered initially didn't have the aircon working. Upon request they did change our room to a manageable aircon functioning room. The breakfast menu is monotonous with the same menu repeated everyday and very limited vegetarian options. They have a parking facility for those who rent two wheelers, which is a good thing. All basic amenities can be found nearby. It's easy for travellers to find 2 wheeler for rent, laundry, seven 11 and various travel companies within 200 mtr of this hotel. Bui vien night life walking street is just behind the hotel.

The hotel staff are friendly and check in was smooth. They gave us a free upgrade because the room we booked was sold out, no complains here.

The room itself is old, spacious and very clean! Especially the carpets. Breakfast is boring and it's the same thing every day. The same fruit, the same selection of mains and they do not top up anything until asked.....

I'm giving 3 stars despite a good coffee shop in the hotel, good location and friendly staff because of the following points that I dont think many reviews mention.

The lock to the room is an actual key and not a key card. This means when you step out of the room in the heat, you will come back to a hot room as that is the only key you have to power the room and lock the room door.... this seriously needs to be updated especially knowing that heatwaves are common and for security purposes!

The hallway of the rooms do not have any air conditioning or fans, it's literally just 2 windows opened for ventilation.... the lobby's air conditioning is not as good either (probably due to the crazy weather)

Booked this one up as we wanted somewhere in a hurry in this part of Saigon that wasn't bottom rung - paid £60 per night which is towards the higher end of the scale for this area of town. Was told I needed to pay up front in full (before seeing the room) and didn't notice there was no refund policy - not surprising in hindsight... ||||The room smelt bad and was very tired and outdated - dirty carpets, stained bed sheets, nothing supplied in the minibar and no consistently hot water available – as an aside this is the only hotel I’ve ever been to anywhere where no help was offered by staff offering to help with moving luggage – I’m able-bodied but someone usually offers to at least help. Worst of all, at 9.30pm on a Saturday night (we had decided to rest in our room) someone knocked on the door and then unlocked it - when they realised we were actually in the room, they ran off. Spoke to staff on reception who sounded surprised this had happened (proving that it wasn't any legit staff activity) but was offered no explanation or assurance that my belongings would have been safe if we had (like most guests???) been out on Sat night. ||||||We decided to book out and find another hotel – staff on reception told us that no refund would be available as we had booked through Agoda – anxious to get away we left and I contacted Agoda who told me that a refund could only come from the hotel – go figure!? So, we contacted the hotel and have heard nothing since – what a surprise – a bad and expensive experience from a hotel that clearly is barely running and couldn’t care less – really, take my advice and don’t book here – I kind of expect services like Agoda to protect me from experiences like this but clearly I am mistaken. ||||Note: we booked a very clean, modern, full-facility hotel around the corner with attentive and helpful, friendly staff for half the...
