The hotel staff are friendly and check in was smooth. The room itself is old, spacious and very clean! Especially the carpets. Breakfast is boring and it's the same thing every day. The same fruit, the same selection of mains and they do not top up anything until asked.....
I'm giving 3 stars, good location and friendly staff because of the following points that I dont think many reviews mention The hallway of the rooms do not have any air conditioning or fans, it's literally just
windows opened for ventilation.... the lobby's air conditioning is not as good either (probably due to the crazy weather)

There is an unbearable sewage smell that somehow becomes more prominent during night time. I am not able to get any sleep at night because I am awaken by the bad smell. Sprayed perfumes, covered the bottom of the door went to check toilets and the room windows. All of it is shut tight and the toilet doesn't stink. SERIOUSLY IN THE ROOM?????? I didn't bother telling the front desk because I am leaving the hotel in a couple of hours.
We stayed on the 5th floor so the noise isn't that bad but be prepared to hear the muffled sounds of the walking street which is behind the hotel. In the day time it's a normal street, IN the night it transforms into the hottest nighlife spot. The noise didn't bother me as much as the smell!!!!!
Overall, the stay in the hotel was fine. No issues apart from those mentioned.
The hotel is old with dimly lit rooms and poorly functioning air conditioners.oilet doesn't stink. SERIOUSLY IN THE ROOM?????? I didn't bother telling the front desk because I am leaving the hotel in a couple of hours.

Read moreThe hotel staff are friendly and check in was smooth. They gave us a free upgrade because the room we booked was sold out, no complains here.

I'm giving 3 stars despite a good coffee shop in the hotel, good location and friendly staff because of the following points that I dont think many reviews mention.
The lock to the room is an actual key and not a key card. This means when you step out of the room in the heat, you will come back to a hot room as that is the only key you have to power the room and lock the room door.... this seriously needs to be updated especially knowing that heatwaves are common and for security purposes!

Read moreBooked this one up as we wanted somewhere in a hurry in this part of Saigon that wasn't bottom rung - paid £60 per night which is towards the higher end of the scale for this area of town. Was told I needed to pay up front in full (before seeing the room) and didn't notice there was no refund policy - not surprising in hindsight... ||||The room smelt bad and was very tired and outdated - dirty carpets, stained bed sheets, nothing supplied in the minibar and no consistently hot water available – as an aside this is the only hotel I’ve ever been to anywhere where no help was offered by staff offering to help with moving luggage – I’m able-bodied but someone usually offers to at least help. Worst of all, at 9.30pm on a Saturday night (we had decided to rest in our room) someone knocked on the door and then unlocked it - when they realised we were actually in the room, they ran off. Spoke to staff on reception who sounded surprised this had happened (proving that it wasn't any legit staff activity) but was offered no explanation or assurance that my belongings would have been safe if we had (like most guests???) been out on Sat night. ||||||We decided to book out and find another hotel – staff on reception told us that no refund would be available as we had booked through Agoda – anxious to get away we left and I contacted Agoda who told me that a refund could only come from the hotel – go figure!? So, we contacted the hotel and have heard nothing since – what a surprise – a bad and expensive experience from a hotel that clearly is barely running and couldn’t care less – really, take my advice and don’t book here – I kind of expect services like Agoda to protect me from experiences like this but clearly I am mistaken. ||||Note: we booked a very clean, modern, full-facility hotel around the corner with attentive and helpful, friendly staff for half the...
