Ngoc Phan Guest House — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

My girlfriends and I stayed here for 4 nights. We arrived at 4am due to flight delays. The owner was very prompt upon us ringing the bell and waking him up. We had a very clean room with 3 beds. Air con worked very well , the room was very clean, the bathroom was very clean, there was s mini fridge and tv overall the room was excellent. Fresh towels were provided daily. No facecloths but we brought our own as we have found some countries don't use them. Breakfast was included every day and it was delicious and filling . Choice of egg, lovely baguette, coffee and fresh fruit. The owner, his wife and her sister are lovely people very pleasant and accommodating. We used the laundry service and it was very reasonable and everything returned clean and fresh. The owner locks your passport for you during your stay for your safety. We left our valuables in our room and never worried about anything. These are lovely people who take pride in their Guesthouse and their reputation. The location is in the heart of it all. Very central and easy to access. The guest house is located at the end of the alley and so noise from the very busy street was not an issue. We really enjoyed staying here. The guest house is well located at the end of an ally off a very busy party street. The street at night is amazing full of life and safe, but down the ally is very quite so you can sleep without any party noise. The Pho Bo stall at start of the ally to the left walking down is the best I have ever had. The rooms are very basic but clean and aircon worked very well, we had a large family room for just two people so it had four beds, just used two beds to put our gear on. Beds were ok. The bathroom needs some attention around the shower glass at the bottom. Breakfast is provided and really basic, like if you want two eggs you pay for one 😀kinda funny but it's not going to break the bank. In other words don't stay in this guest for the gourmet breakfast! Good coffee all around close. The owner is a retired very nice friendly helpful man and the place is run by family. My rating of 3 is based on other places of the same type, with a few upgrades this place...

Twin room for around $30aud was great value. Nice comfortable aircon, decent beds, spatious clean bathroom, high ceilings, good lighting. Working refrigerator, window with some natural light, very quiet room with hotel situated down a safe alley, yet still only metres from the craziness of the main drag.|| .....and best of all A++ helpful service and genuine friendly vibes from the staff at this guesthouse, including the owner Chau who's English is excellent and helped me get to a good traveller-focussed clinic when I needed some medical attention.||Stayed 2 nights and would have stayed 3 if we could have.||Those leaving bad reviews because the free breakfast didn't have enough options should hang their heads in shame.
