The negative first: The place where the hotel is located was not my cup of tea! A brutally touristy alley I never want to go back to. I spent a week there, for the love of everything that is French!! The area is filled with noisy pubs nearby, and yet I didn't hear much noise at all during my one week stay.
Objectively: if you want a clean and cheap room in district 1, I would tend to think that this hotel is one of the better options. The hotel is clean, the rooms are clean, there is an elevator, there are no cockroaches or ants whatsoever in the rooms, hot water runs forever in the shower, the room is affordable on Agoda, the staff are wonderful, kind, generous, lovable, respectful people. I wasted about 2 hours of my life to find a potent, clean, peaceful and affordable hotel in district 1 in Saigon. Agoda always shows more optimistic reviews than what you'll find doing a Google search, so I read the worst reviews on Google before choosing a room. This place was the only one that looked acceptable from the reviews I read online. In reality, it was much better than expected. But if you read this and are starting your journey in Vietnam in Saigon, know that it's easier to find a decent, clean and affordable place to stay out of Saigon. One way or the other, I was satisfied staying there and really enjoyed the positive interactions with the people working at the hotel. Infinite thanks to them, sincere hug and I truly hope that everyone I met at Kim hotel will have a fulfilling, meaningful and touching...
Read moreNever felt more uncomfortable/not wanted in a hotel/accomadation for the 2 years I've been traveling Asia. I guess it's because my Vietnemese friend negotiated a price before they saw me (Australian) and felt I should be paying me. Funny as the manager must of felt cheated by a foreigner, where as she cheats foreigners daily. I paid not much less than Agoda price. The look I was given when she saw me, wow. Then I had to sign something saying the.cost in USD I asked.her how much VND thata is, as she could make any number up she wants after I sign it, that was answered by a.very unwelcome tone. I was woken by the phone at 1230pm I slept in, and that must of felt like christmas to the manager. "WOOOO now we can fine him for 30mins over stay" 50 000d for 30 mins Wow. Over the last 2 years I have stayed in the room past check-out time at least 100 times, and for much longer than 30 mins..... This is the first time I have ever had to pay. If they could of asked me to pay 200 000d and I would have just to get out of that vile environment. Anyways my point is I absolutley DESPISE rudeness, bad manners in people. As soon as I saw her greeted with no smile amd just frowned at should have been the...
Read moreGuys I M not big on reviews but I believe this small quaint hotel located in the heart of District 1 Ho Chi Minh City derves my time. It is well located so you have access to all the sights and simple walk to excellant restaurants. It is clean secure has all the amenities most people would need. But what makes me write this review is the staff. If you book or fortunate enough to find and empty room, I do recommend making reservations early, you will meet ly ly and Van, who I have nicked named money bags. Any thi g you need or want they will get for you. Need to be picked up at airport they can do. You always see them with a smile on their faces. I have made 30 trips to Viet Nam as you can tell I have alot of experience here. This is my 4th stay in Kim Hotel. Before Covid did not know about this hotel and was referred when I returned to Viet Nam after the country opened. For me it is an excellant bang for the buck, but most of all what makes it better for me are the staff. I highly recommend and do not believe you will be...
