First, let's be clear the location is superb. The price point for now is right on point inclusive of the generous breakfast spread. If you are looking for hotel amenities sadly, it's missing but you will be spoilt for choice at District 1. Getting to here from the airport is a cinch even by public transportation which I did by public bus. Now, the really bad. The walls are so poorly insulated that even a single phone call from the next room can be heard quite clearly. And they invariably did at 2am. And it drove me nuts when the room occupiers closes the door which slams because of the inherent design not because it was intentional. The plumbing is also a hot button issue as it's coupled with the uninsulated walls means you can hear toilet flushes. Which is mighty disruptive and contributes to an impossible sleep. I kept my sanity by plugging in ear plugs. Last but not least, bugs. I have flies, ants, a caterpillar. So.... I just can't quite process this yet as I just checked out today. But I suggest you take these as possibly...

Our aircon broke down on our first night and we opted to shift rooms at 1.30am (which thankfully they had another room). As there was no windows the rooms had mold on the walls and we had to spend some time cleaning it up. We did wake up feeling quite unwell due to the mold so we spent most of the day outdoors.
The hotel is also NON-SMOKING, but the smell of smoke smelled very strongly. This is especially so if the aircon is turned off. Sound proofing between the rooms + the hallway is non-existent so just beware if you are a light sleeper.
It is still a place with good bang for buck (larger room sizes, decent viet breakfast - although offerings are much much lesser). Location is extremely good to popular tourist and shopping attractions, however as we are leaving the city feeling unwell, will probably stay at a better...
Read moreOverall a very good experience staying at Nhat ha 1 hotel. Hotel is very near to many locations and attractions. Hotel staff are all very welcoming and friendly. Now for some improvements. There is no Iron provided to iron your clothes. I know its a 3 star hotel but some 3 star hotels i stayed provided iron and hair dryer which are common needs for your stay here. Nhat ha 1 have Hair dryer provided which is good. Please note, Hotel is not designed and build for muslim travellers. If you are a muslim, look for a different hotel. There is no bidget spray in the toilet. The buffet provide have no halal or vegetarian options. For example the dishes will have pork or chicken in it. We have to eat bread and the egg for our 4 days staying here. But the halal street is a a short walk away. You can try Musa Karim Halal restaurant and eat there instead. Lastly, i hope Nhat ha 1 provide a weight scale at the lift lobby so we could weight our items on...
