We stayed one night at Green Sapa Homestay. The staff were really wonderful, as our bus arrived in Sapa after midnight, after contacting on WhatsApp they welcomed us at the property and allowed us to check in late.
We stayed in the double private room, which was very spacious. Bed was comfortable with a heated mattress for when it gets cold. Also a fan for when it is hot. Bathroom had hot water. Towels, shampoo, shower gel and tooth brush/tooth paste all provided. Although the toilet and shower were clean the bathroom walls were a little dirty with squashed mosquitos, so this could be improved.
The location is fantastic. Short walk down into Sapa town (10 mins walking to Sun plaza and 15 mins to lake with all the restaurants and bars). Easy to get a taxi from the bus station to here. It was also a short taxi drive to the Fansipan cable car.
The free breakfast was delicious and you had a choice of meals. We were also able to do our laundry at the property, clothes smelt amazing and were dry within 7 hours. There were also treks offered, although we did not do this, but they did seem popular. Staff were also kind and allowed us to leave our bags in the reception/restaurant for the day.
Would recommend Green Sapa Homestay to budget travellers looking for somewhere in...
Read moreAffordable price, warm hospitality. The room is worth the price with basic necessities. Please choose a double room, ground floor. The room is spacious and easy for us Muslim to pray. The twin room on the 2nd floor, small room not enough space to pray but they have huge balcony but unfortunately we come during rainy season so we didn't utilize the balcony. The staff are really friendly and help us a lot to suggest what is the best itinerary during our stay due to the rainy season. The room rate includes breakfast but for us Muslim only we can eat hard boiled eggs because they serve pork. But do not worry the halal restaurant is only walking distance from the homestay. If you don't feel like walking you can rent a motorbike from the reception. The view from the rooftop is so beautiful. If you like to save budget, this is the best place to stay. If you enjoy walking, there are some places walking distance only. Sunplaza, The Swing is just nearby.
Nearby Halal Restaurant Hajah Hawa - affordable price, big portion, taste was good Halal Sapa - a bit pricey, Pizza & fried rice so good. Coffee not worth it 😂 hotpot not worth it at all Sapa Rasa Sayang Halal Buffet - around 250k...
Read moreI had a great stay at this homestay! They provided towels and a bottle of water, and breakfast was decent and included in the price.
The staff were very helpful, they arranged a motorbike rental for 150K VND per day and gave great recommendations on things to do and places to visit.
The only downside was the cold room, as there was no heating.l and it is bit like big wooden tent. The mattresses are on the ground, but they’re actually comfortable, and once you’re covered, it gets surprisingly warm, I’m not sure how, but it works!
The hot shower was a bit unreliable, it didn’t work on my first night but was fine afterward.
Overall, I really appreciate the hard work of the staff and had a lovely...
